Cask; Regular.
The Lurcher Stout Fruity, chocolaty, rich and fulsome, well-balanced with hops, yet So Smooth. Proving to be a real winner, if you like stout you will love Lurcher.

Cask gravity at the St Albans Beer Festival 2012. Poured a very dark brown, near black, with a thin beige head. Aroma of earth, mild coffee and dark chocolate. Molasses in the flavour, with some bitter, grassy notes and dark malt. Finish was burnt, with treacle and liquorice.

Cask at The Guildford Arms. Pours dark brown, cracked beige head. Aromas of light coffee, light toffee. Taste is more of the same, touch of liquorice. Clean finish. OK.

Cask at Red Lion, Cromer, Norfolk. Dark, chestnut brown. Broken, thin, tan head. Aroma is dark malt, dark, ripe fruit. Some roast coffee. Some cocoa. Taste is dry, dark, fruity. Smooth palate. Dry, lightly tangy finish.

Draft at Memphis. Pours a near black, deep brown with thin tan head and ringed lace. Nose of chocolate, caramel, roast. Medium body. Taste of chocolate, roast, smoke, tobacco.

Cask gravity at Wandsworth Halloween Fest 2013. It pours darkest brown, near black with a medium beige head. The nose is roasty, dark fruit, berry, jam, sweet liquorice and cocoa. The taste is smooth, roast, toast, earth, cocoa, light bitterness, mild acidity, coffee grinds with a dry, roasty finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. Smooth, tasty and easy-drinking. Rather good.

Cask @ Alehouse. Very dark, a little ruby around the edges, frothy head. Some winter fruits in the aroma, which are followed by more on first taste. Blackcurrant, bitterness from the hops, but no burnt notes from the grains. Extremely drinkable.

August 24, 2013 - hand-pull cask at The Harp (Chandos Place). Opaque ruby-black with a solid and lasting small creamy tan head. MIld aroma, some chocolate and light grain. Taste is - meh - nitro tang overriding light chocolate and tart prune, some alcohol. Average airy body, quick finish - ehhh.

Cask at Ealing beer festival 2013, London. A black coloured pour with a medium beige head on top. Sweet chocolate, coffee aroma. Tastes similar, coffee, chocolate, slightly roasty, slightly sweet. Very nice stout.

On tap 5 oz. pour at Max's in the Fell's Point distriict, Baltimore, MD. Opaque, black-brown with a small khaki head and very good lacing. Aroma of chocolate, dark berries, mild coffee and roasted malt. Taste of chocolate, roasted coffee and roasted malt. Medium body and medium/low carbonization. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
