3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
On cask at The Queen’s Head, Lower Anchor Street, Chelmsford, 25/01/13. Doesn’t look or taste a lot like a wheat beer, more like a citrussy bitter. The orange isn’t too strong either. Quite hoppy too, for a wheat beer; towards IPA levels. Quite a cereally aroma, with some orange & dry yeast. Done quite well, subtle & quaffable. Little aftertaste though.
