On cask at The Queen’s Head, Lower Anchor Street, Chelmsford, 25/01/13. Doesn’t look or taste a lot like a wheat beer, more like a citrussy bitter. The orange isn’t too strong either. Quite hoppy too, for a wheat beer; towards IPA levels. Quite a cereally aroma, with some orange & dry yeast. Done quite well, subtle & quaffable. Little aftertaste though.

Excellent nose, but neither the fruits of the wheat character transfer well into the taste.

Bland and tasteless, apparently now using Citra hops ? They seemed to be missing ! To be honest I actually find Green Jack beers very average.

[on cask in Edinburgh]
Citrus and slightly earthy hops with a contrapuntal citrusy fermentation accent. Almost clear gold under a lasting, white foam. Malty flavour with a faint phenolic note. Smooth, medium body, low carbonation.

Big orange with light hoppy citrus. Sweet with mid bitter, quite a nice beer for a summers day.
