Amber, bright, bubbly head. Not much aroma but a really nice creme brûlée malt, juicy hop character. Totally suffolk in character, actually, a lot like Adnams. 4 7 8 4 17 Kept going back to this one.

Bottle - Dark copper in colour. Hoppy; earthy hops. Malty; grainy malts, caramel, hint of chocolate. Fruity; apples, raisins. Earthy hops meet grainy malts. Moderately bitter throughout becoming increasingly dry in the finish. Tasty. Liked this. Very drinkable. Nice Best Bitter!

Gravity cask at the Fat Cat, Colchester. Poured a clear medium to dark amber with a bubbly white head. The aroma is weak malt. The flavour is medium to weak bitter with a watery palate. Medium bodied with flat carbonation. Nice for a session but average in the greater scheme of things.

A golden ale with a thin creamy white head. In aroma, light biscuit malt with mineral notes, light German like hops. In mouth, a light biscuit malt with grassy hops, very British, nice. On tap at Beer Culture

on tap oured a slightly cloudy rich amber with a nice off-white head that would leave a fair amount of lacing. The aroma was a nicely balanced malt and hops sensation, if a bit underpowered. A good easy flavor just barely sweet upfront with a light bitter finish that lingers gently. It is smooth with a barely perceptible tingle in the mouth.

Pint at the Tilley Stone Gateshead. Ripe red fruit aroma, bags of fruit and nut toffee flavour balanced by a bitter finish. Dry , biscuity palate. One of the better bitters.
