A malty amber ale boasting rich toasted and caramel flavors, Green Man ESB is one of our award-winning signature brews. Our blend of authentic British malts and hops creates a nutty aroma, full body, and a sweet finish. Prepare yourself for a truly exceptional interpretation of a traditional English style.

A pretty solid ESB. Really malty with a bunch of toffee and caramel. Tried it at the brewery in 2015.

12 oz bottle poured into a tulip pint glass. Thanks Ben! Clear dark amber with a finger of beige head. Aromas of caramel, malt, light toasty notes and biscuit. Tastes of caramel, malt, biscuit, a bit of sweet dark fruit. Medium body with a dry finish. A bit on the sweet side.

Sample at the tap room. Hazy brownish-amber color with a medium off-white head that recedes steadily to a film. Small patches of lace. Aroma of roast malt, caramel and fruit. Light-bodied with flavors of caramel malt, fruit and mild earthy hops. The finish is sweet with a short malty aftertaste. Decent overall.

Another delightful ESB out of Asheville and another success from Green Man. On tap down in Cola SC, this ESB pours a dark amber color, reminiscent of maple syrup (the color not the viscosity!) moderate white head, stays frothy. Aroma of caramel malt herbal hops, toffee. Taste is very nutty, malty and also some bitter hops. Medium-bodied, earthy finish, all around just a pleasant and tasty ale. Not quite as good as Oysterhouse's ESB but a close second. I would definitely drink this again.

12 oz bottle. Pours copper with tall, long-lasting, fluffy white head and lively carbonation. Aroma is of earthy hops, bready malt and some caramel. Body is medium and smooth. Earthy hops, bready and caramel malt and ripe fruit nicely balanced on the palate. Finish is long and spicy. Great brew.

More like a stout than an amber beer. Caramel flavor as well. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Draft at brewhouse Nashville. From notes. Lightly hoppy, somewhat herbal and a little nutty.
