Finally! Green man in 12 oz bottles! Pours a hazy copper with thin lacy foam. Aroma of bread, coffee, chocolate, and apple. Great smooth taste with sweet caramel and toffee. Finishes with a bit of roast and even a hint of smokiness. Very drinkable yet complex. Excellent beer in a little seen style in the US craft scene. I love to see well done British styles of beer.

On tap at green man brewing in Asheville NC. Green man esb is a medium golden beer with a nice head of firm white bubbles. Nose I’d sweet yet good cereal grain scent. Taste is of lightly toasted malt. Good balancing hops. Trademark bitter finish. All around solid beer.

A nice ESB. A very toasty grain like flavor. Balanced on the tongue but over carbonated. Sweet malty grain. Not very hoppy a good solid grain like brew.

From the bottle at a lunch at a local Asheville restaurant. Aromas of toasted bread, biscuit, coffee, toffee, burnt caramel. Tasted sweet but with a crisp bitter finish. Finishes fairly clean. Medium body and medium high carb.

On tap at Jack of the Woods - Aroma is malt forward - toasted malts, caramel. Pours a clear dark reddish-brown with a white ring and no lacing. The palate is is rich - toffee, bread, nuts, wood ending with a dry finish. Medium-light body with medium carbonation. Overtake, rewardingly well balanced and enjoyable.

I gotta say this is one of the best ESBs I've ever had. Nice bready blonde start, nice clean somewhat bright finish. Really nice. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Asheville, NC - Bruisin’ Ales - 12 oz bottle. Dark tea-like pour, slight off-white head. Aroma has some toffee-like sweetness, a touch of baked bread. Flavor has a nice subtle bitterness with some toffee accents, a light touch of dates, some canned baked brown bread and some citrus trailing bitterness. Mouthfeel has a pleasant texture to it. Pretty sold.
