From bottle. Pours an amber hue with a small off-white head. Light aroma, earthy hops, some floral aspects, a metallic hint, bready, and caramel. Taste is same with decent but subtle hops, touches of earthy, floral, and citrus, balanced towards malty with doughiness and caramel. Ok

Bottle from my Cousin. Slightly cloudy deep gold color with a nice head some aromatic hops for an English style and lots of Malt. A bit metallic at the start.

Burnt orange. Almost no head. There’s some herbal aromas, chestnut and almonds. Pine cone and sweet tangerine. Very light taste. The finish is rough. Definitely an older bottle. Crisp, melon, pepper, floral.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Draft at Jack of the Woods This ale poured a clear dark amber with an off-white head with lacing. You detect a citrus aroma with some caramel malts. The medium body IPA had average carbonation. Quiet bitterness grows into the swallow for a clean, gentle finish. There was a lingering bitterness that stayed until the last swallow.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Location: 12 oz bottle from Bruisin’ Ales, 1/14/15
Aroma: The nose is sweet and pale malts, some orange, floral hop notes, and a little biscuit
Appearance: Pours a clear orange color with a small ring of off-white head and medium lace
Flavor: The taste is sweetness and spice, with a strong malt presence and a good bitterness
Palate: The body is medium, has a light stickiness, a lively carbonation, and a dry finish
I think the flavor declares more of a hoppiness than the nose would have suggested. At the same time, the hops don’t quite hit a great flavor note. Throughout though, I found this to be a decent beer. Not the most drinkable beer, but a pretty nice beer none-the-less.
