Bottle shared by b3shine. Poured a clear ruby color with an average frothy off-white head that mostly lasted with fair lacing. Moderate to heavy tart cherry, sour and wood aroma. Medium to full body with a sticky tingly texture and soft carbonation. Medium to heavy sour & tart flavor with a medium to heavy tart & sour finish of moderate to long duration. This is a solid beer for style.

750ml bottle, shared by b3shine. I got one of the later pours - a really pretty dark red color, with a hint of brown, pretty much totally hazy. Particles visible in the body. Minimal white head. Couple tiny dots of lace. Great rich, tart cherry aroma. Very tart. First sip is puckering, in a tasty way. Works well with the great black cherry aroma. Medium body. Very light carbonation, light stickiness in the finish. Great super-tart sour.

750 ml bottle shared by b3shine- thanks again, Beau! Bottle 109/120. Pours a muddy rose-salmon color with a tiny ring of bubbles. Notes of cherries, lemon juice, sour candy, earth, and oak. Medium-bodied, with low carbonation and a sour, puckering, drying mouthfeel. Would be better served by more carbonation. Still a good sour, though.

Bottle, shared by b3shine at RBWG. Thanks Beau for making sure I got a pour of this! This was a nice surprise in that this was a pretty darn good sour from these green dudes. Didn’t notice much of the rum barrels (or even know it wasn’t just french oak) but got a lot of cherry funk and sour character. Slightly vinous finish. Nice work, maybe the best sour/wild I’ve had made in NC.

750mL shared by b3shine at RBWG. My final entry from a massive 120+ RBWG backlog. Pours a full haze, darker purple/pink with fizzing out whiter foam. Saltwater nose with acetic acid, cherry pits. Taste is salty, Flemish red wine barrel character, some Kriek character. Citric and vinous palate. Actually pretty decent overall.

Bottle shared by b3shine at RBWG! Pours murky reddish brown with some particulate matter floating around and foamy white head. Aroma of sour cherries and a bit of funk. Taste follows with a hint of acidic tartness, light on the mouth with a bubbly dry finish. Good stuff.

Bottle at RBWG 2013 Grand Tasting. Big thanks to Beau! Pours murky red with a small, white foam head. Lots of acetic berries in the nose, light sweat. Light to medium sweet flavor, good sour bite, light dryness, some berry pits, mild acidity. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Cleansing, mildly drying finish, lots of tart berries. Pretty nice stuff.

750 ml bottle to taster at the RMWG Grand Tasting (shared by me). Looks good; a semi-opaque cherry with thin white lacing. Smells good too; Tart cherries and funk with a hint of rum from the barrels. Tastes like it smells, only more sour, but in a good way. Nice on the palate too. Excellent beer!

2/23/13. RBWG. Amber pour with a small khaki head. Huge sour aroma, lots of cherry, and a huge sour flavor as well with cherry and lots of berries. Delish!
