3.5 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Unfortunately, I read the description of the beer first, and it tainted my rating. Anyway, poured dark brown with a slight red hue. Smells mostly of coffee and tastes the same. My only contribution is that it leaves a great roasted malt taste in your mouth.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20
From a bottle this is a nice full bodied beer without any of the nasty typical ale effects. fer sure, this is smooth and easy. I find it to be better than expected.Yes, more friendly than most porters. Has manners, is easy going and is so unexpectedly nice. Certainly up there with Labatt Porter,
Beaver Black & Tan,
Saranac 4059 Porter and
Beaver Maple Brown Porter but not as good as
Indigo Imp Gatekeeper,
East End Pink Clouds Porter,
Yuengling Original Black and Tan
Bayhawk Chocolate Porter

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
A decent starter porter but not enough complexity or flavor for me. Aromas of light chocolate and light roast. Taste is faint chocolate, roastiness, and maybe a taste reminiscent of a flat Coke. Mouthfeel is thin and finish is clean. An ok porter that does not stand out.

Cask at Green Man. Roasty aroma. Fairly uninteresting taste. A little dry, a little roasty. Nothing wrong with it.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Cask pour at the source. The beer is a clear amber to brown with little to no head. The aroma has molasses and toffee with notes of some cooked apples and interestingly enough, granny smith apples. Fairly sweet. Medium body and no carbonation.
