Bottle. A good version of a pilsener, just the right amount of bitterness, with the added bonus of being refreshing.
3.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 deusax (366) - Christchurch, NEW ZEALAND - FEB 26, 2012
Tasted on tap @ The Great Kiwi Beer Festival 2012 in Christchurch. Fruity taste, quite unusual for a pilsener!
2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20 TimE (2068) - Tokyo, JAPAN - SEP 21, 2011
Golden color, nose of hay, butterscotch and a bit of popcorn. Not really that great. Mouth is not balanced, some interesting hops but butterscotch distracts. Little bitterness. Boring.
2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 mkel07 (1811) - Brisbane, AUSTRALIA - FEB 15, 2010
500ml bottle. Light golden colour with a dishwater sudsy foam cap. Thin and watery to look at with aromas of lemon rind, pear and peach coming through. Clean crisp taste and light on the palate with some sweet flavours tingling the tongue.

Bottle. Deep golden pour, frothy white head, lacy trappings. Biscuity sweet malt aroma with really nice delicate aromas of floral fruit. Generously malty palate, lots of body, perfect balance of flavourful aromatic hops and bittering hops. An exceptional pilsener without being ’in-your-face’ in any way. It may help that I have a super-fresh bottle too. Truly excellent.

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 bozoNZ (672) - Christchurch, NEW ZEALAND - FEB 12, 2009
500ml bottle - looks the goods in the glass, golden with again, a decent persistent head. Light sweet fragrance in the nose. I wonder if this & the lager were swapped at birth. This lacks any hop features, mouthfeel is sweet fruits with some cereal meal type grain notes but finishes sweet. Bizzare but no where near what you would expect from a Pils
2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20 sdriessen (318) - Dunedin, NEW ZEALAND - JAN 24, 2009
500mL bottle. Pours a clear yellow with not a lot of head.
Really strong, sweet malt (straw) nose, almost funky.
Some floral hops and fruit like apple.
Flavours are much the same, not a lot of bitterness. Kind of boring really... No finish that I can tell.
A bit watery, and clean on the palate.
Overall quite simple but nice and malty.
3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 11/20 donfardz64 (538) - Wellington, New Zealand, NEW ZEALAND - JAN 14, 2009
330mL bottle from the brewery. Pours golden with a fizzy white head which dissipates fully. Cotton candy sweet nose. A lot of vanilla and a little bit of caramel malt. Interesting aroma, for a pilsener. On the taste; initially grassy hops, then some honey like sweetness. Smooth flavour, hints of vanilla. Medium/low bitterness, finishing grassy. Would be an excellent session beer to have a rigger of.
2.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20 MBison (548) - Southern Highlands, AUSTRALIA - NOV 27, 2008
Bottle (500ml). Poured golden with a tiny fizzy head which dropped has fast a soda water. Aroma was of grassy hops with lemon soap, lime and sweet biscuity malts. Flavor was a light hop bitterness with sweet biscuity malts, lemon citrus, light herby notes and grassy clipping in the finish. Light to medium bodied with soft carbonation, a dry mouthfeel, watery texture and a average finish. Very little difference between the Pils and the Lager.
