bluevegie (1772), Perth, Australia Sep 17, 2008 Poured quite dark with a large tan head though the head didn’t want to wait around, not to worry. Chocolate aroma along with some burnt notes. Taste is lovely, roasted bitterness, smooth, alcohol warmth, not complex so easy to drink. Enjoyed this more than their Keller but then again I like Stouts. yespr (6943), Copenhagen O, Denmark Sep 11, 2008 50 cL bottle. Pours dark brown to black with a diminished chocolate brown head. Mild fruity and roasted chocolate malty aroma. Bitter and mild smoked malt flavour. Acidic and light bitter flavoured. Bitter and roasted malty finish with a mild lingering spice note. KimJohansen (4299), Copenhagen V, Denmark Sep 10, 2008 Black with medium dark beige head. Sweet aroma with hard roasted malt and coffee notes. Sweet flavour with hard roasted malt, caramel, coffee and liquerice notes. MiP (6029), Flensburg, Germany Sep 10, 2008 Bottle, 7.0%. Sweet roasted aroma. Black colour. Roasted flavour, slightly sweet. But dry finish. Thin mouthfeel for ABV. Tiny_Tim (21), Perth, Australia Sep 9, 2008 Poors very dark brown, nearly black, with a rich, brown, active head. Aroma is not very strong, considering the colour and alcohol content, it is sweet and malty. The flavour is strong, smokey, malty, and a little bit of chocolate, not a very complex stout. The malt tastes burnt, not in a good way. The most impressive part of this beer is it’s appearance, that together with it’s brute strength are the only things that set it apart from any average stout.
