On draft at Green Room for RBWG. Pours a hazy brown with an off-white head. Nose is roast, some earth, some sweet cocoa character and earthy chocolate. Flavor is similar- a roasty and earthy dry stout with hints of chocolate. Light to medium in body and nice overall.

group tasting at Mermaid Juice... thanks to anne marie and blaire for the share. although this was the night of the hunahpu tasting - this preceded it and honestly this was my favorite. hunahpu is amazing but this was super impressive. smells like hot chocolate mix, or like the milk from cocoa pebbles. it’s delicious. not usually a huge fan of chocolate beers but after having rogue chocolate stout and southern tier choklat on draught - this blows those away. we just put their honey wine style on - looking forward to it.

Black pour with tan head and lace. Chocolate and coffee aroma. Vanilla, peanut butter, and coco on the flavor. Medium bodied but fizzy.

Tap at Green Room for our final stop at RBWG. Pours a inky, muddy black with cola highlights. No head formation. Nose is heavy licorice and mint. Taste is pretty heavy on peanut butter, praline, cookie. Watery, thin, acidic palate. Same deal as the other versions, need body and bitterness. All over attenuated.

Pours a murky brownish-black with thin khaki head and moderate lacing. Aroma is all sweet chocolate, taste follows with a slight coffee and roasted flavor. Good, but pretty much a cocoa crisp meets stout.

11/2/12. On tap at Green Room. Black pour with a nice tan head. The aroma and the flavor on this bad boy parallel their regular Shaka stout, that nice coffee and chocolate aspect with good roast and a touch of sour, but adds a good solid dose of a slightly sweet chocolate aspect that reminds almost of chocolate syrup. Definitely interesting and tasty.
