3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Draft… RBWG 2013... Pitch black pour with no head. The bouquet is nearly as thin as the flavor – deeply roasted barley, charcoal and a hint of dark chocolate. Light to medium-bodied and thin with fizzy carbonation. The flavor is a well-balanced, mirror image of the aroma - deeply roasted malts and dark chocolate. Short, crisp, clean finish. Way too thin and watery for the style. Give me a milk stout that is silky-sweet and a touch chewy.

3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
This chocolate oatmeal stout has 6.2% according to the brewery where this was served.
Pours near black but somewhat dead looking, with no lasting head or lacing.
Aroma of milk and medium chocolate, the same character found in the flavor.
Flavor is much more similar to Samuel Smith’s Chocolate Stout than expected but this is sweeter. Lasting chocolate aftertaste lingers on after the oatmeal stout aspects have faded.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Tallahassee, Fl - on tap at Proof. Pours a jet black with a quickly diminishing off-white head, no lacing. Flavor has some dry roasted notes, a hint of bittersweet chocolate, some day old coffee, just a hint of licorice, but an overall plastic-like flavor to it. Mouthfeel has a decent dryness to it. Not really feeling it on this one.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Draft at proof. Dark black pour with tan head that lasts and laces. Aroma is super chocolaty. Reminds me of oreos. Taste is chocolate and roasted grains, and a lot like oreos. Sweet chocolate up front but finishes dry and grainy, tough combination to make. Good job. I could drink this every night for a week.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Draft at Proof. Deep brown, almost black pour with a small tan head. Smells like a chocolate oatmeal cookie with whoppers cookies. Lighter bodied with sweet chocolate and roasted malts. Pretty tasty, wish the body was a little thicker.

Take the excellent Shaka and make it sweeter and you have this beer. It’s like adding a bit of chocolate milk.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Draft at Kickbacks in JAX. Tulip. Pours a jet black with thin tan head. little lacing. Aroma is serious cocoa nibs, roasted malts, vanilla, and milk chocolate. Taste is very chocolatey, thick body from lactose, cocoa nibs, vanilla, and a hint of coffee. Sweet finish. Mild carbonation with a full body. Only drawback is it has a kind of Hershey syrup flavor.

4.7 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 19/20
Green Room Count Shak-U-La is one of the most original stouts I’ve had. Pour is expected dark with a tan head and the aroma is that of a good quality chocolate. The best description of the taste is Reeses Peanut Butter Cup - chocolate and peanut butter! Fantastic! The flavor fades gradually almost like eating the candy. Would be interesting to pair with the same. Count Shak-U-La is a tasty and original stout in the season of Halloween.

3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Draft. Bold Bean.
Thin, coco head, quickly dissipates. Dark brown, thin looking body.
Light roast, brown malt, simple.
Same, really light stout, tastes more of a straight forward brown ale.
