COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Cask & bottle conditioned: Regular.
A fresh approach to pale ale. Greenroom IPA is a real fresh ale, with a distinct citrus twist. It is crisp to the palette with a sure bitterness aftertaste. Brewed using the finest malt and hops to give the best flavours.

Cask (gravity) @ 27th Pigs Ear Beer and Cider Festival 2010, at The Round Chapel in Hackney, London, England

Clear medium amber color with a small to average, frothy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, toffee, light roasted, moderate to heavy hoppy, orange - citrus, dusty grass. Flavor is moderate to light light heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a long duration. Body is medium, texture is watery to oily, carbonation is soft to flat. [20101130]

500ml clear glass bottle from Beers of Europe. The clear glass and clear label design doesn’t work for me. It looks like a grubby milk bottle with drunken piss inside. The malt (despite being "the finest") doesn’t have much flavour or character - it’s a watery, indifferent, slightly dirty malt. The hops have a firm hold on the beer - but the aroma is of yeast and dirty socks, rather than hoppy fragrance; it’s in the taste that the hops make themselves felt. Some bitterness, some citric notes - but not attractive enough for me. I can see what the intention was, but it hasn’t quite worked for me.

Ugly, muddy light brown with no head. The aroma is caramel and oxidation. Taste is malty, maybe a bit earthy and definitely a bit oxidized.

Bottle. Hazy golden brown with a thin foam. Aromas are caramel and pineapple with butter and toffee. Light oranges with gentle spices. Flavours are biscuit and caramel malts with spiced oranges. Lemon on the finish. OK.

Bottle, got from Eden Project. Ugly muddled, dull brown color, no head... Mild aroma, apple and pear skins, not as bad as it looks. Tastes stale, a bit cardboardy, thin, and dull but nothing seriously wrong. Remains drinkable in spite of flaws. Has a pleasant toasty hoppy bitterness in the finish that has potential to shine.

Cask (gravity dispense) at Pigs Ear Beer Festival on 30 November. Mid amber colour - slightly darker than the Ayr Leezie Lundie. Slightly dodgy aroma - a little clammy malt and a whiff of diacetyl. Otherwise a fairly light session bitter with a smattering of citric hop on the palate and a soft bitterness. Middle of the road, other than the aroma.

Cask gravity at Pigs Ear 2010. Amber thin beige collar. Diacetyl aroma. Its a slightly fruity beer in the mouth faint hop on finish. Some fruit salad. Still not great

500ml bottle. Pours dark amber. Aroma is really good, I’d say dry hopped, smeels of grassy hops with some citrus too. Taste is quite grassy, with a nice amount of bitterness. A higher abv would probably give this beer the backbone it needs, but not a bad beer.

Bottle. Clear bottle which wasn’t a good start.Light refreshing taste with a bitter finnish. Didn’t start off too well but got better.

Bottled. Dark brown glass colour with light brown head. Nice and lively condition. Caramel, nutty aroma with hint of citrus. Early bitterness on taste but short lived leaving rich malty caramel flavours and smooth mouth feel.
