On tap at Green Room during RBWG 2013. Displayed as ’Oaked Brown’. Pours clear brown with a light, filmy head. Tangy, toasty malt nose. Medium sweet flavor with big tang, tart berries, light menthol. Medium bodied with fine, soft carbonation. Sticky sweet and fairly tart on the finish. Somewhat odd.

Tap at the Green Room, RBWG. Listed as "oaked brown" but us sourheads know a sour when we see one. Pours a hazy reddish brown with a small off white head. Nose shows lots of acidic character, some oak, tart cherry skins, light glue. Flavor was slightly vinegary, some sweeter vanilla, light booze, whiskey, cherry skins, and blood. Interesting and better conceived than some of their other sour/wilds I tried that night.

Tap at Green Room as "Oaked Brown". Pours a full haze, inky black. No head or carbonation. Nose is acetic, salt, moderate oud bruin character with red wine, steak fat, and black cherry. Taste is similar with black cherry, steak, licorice. Lactic and tartaric acid palate. Really nice. A winner.

On tap at the Quetzcoatl release. Flat brown pour with no head whatsoever. Light oak, vanilla, tartness, and a hint of smoke/ash/chocolate in the aroma. More tart flavor again with oak, vanilla, and ashy chocolate. Not bad!
