3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Tap at Green Room for RBWG. Big pour, inky black pour with little to no head. Probably poured incorrectly by bar tender. Nose is tons of salty peanut butter with chocolate cookie. Straightforward, gimmicky. Taste is similar- lots of saltier Reeses peanut butter cup. Thinner palate like its siblings. Wish they were denser.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Tap at Green Room for the wind down on 12 hours of RBWG. Pours a full haze inky cola. Low carbonation, no lacing. Nose is really intense Reese’s peanut butter cup. Pretty hilarious. Taste is peanut butter, chocolate, heavy dessert profile. Works well. Palate is still a bit thin given the style and gimmick. Bound to be a major hit for this brewery.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Tap at Green Room, RBWG. Pours dark muddy brown with a small beige head. Nose is peanut butter, light cocoa, sawdust, some other nuttiness. Flavor is more peanut/peanut butter than anything else. Not a huge fan of concept beers in general, but Im always slightly impressed.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours a dark black on tap with thin tan film and no real lacing. Aroma of dark chocolate, peanut, roasted malt, and sweet chocolate. Taste follows, like a peanut butter chocolate cookie. Thin mouth with a clean finish, a little oily. Pretty damn good.

Big thanks to Drowland who brought this growler to RBWG. As a preface, Im a fat kid and the best cookies on earth are these peanut butter patties or also known as tagalongs that the girl scouts sell. This beer had the aroma, flavor, and aftertaste of these cookies. Simply devine, it poured a nice black color with aromas of chocolate, peanut butter, light roast, and a touch if earth. Flavors follow suit with a touch of cookie added. Also had a nice light dry peanutbutter finish. A really nice beer that I need more of.

2/22/13. On tap during the RBWG bus tour. Wow. This stuff is awesome! Rich black pour with a nice tan head. Really awesome peanut butter cup aroma, hits almost dead on, with nice chocolate and balanced peanut butter. Delicious peanut butter cup flavor as well without being too overwhelmingly sweet or cloying. Nice peanut butter, cocoa, and a touch of lingering roast. This was one of the favorites of the day for sure!

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Keg at Green Room during RBWG 2013. Pours rich brown with a fine, creamy tan head. Rich chocolate nose with peanut butter notes in the background. Medium sweet flavor with true peanut butter cup character. Well integrated, not at all gimmicky. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Light dry cocoa to finish, soft roast, light earthy bitterness. Really good stuff.

Really peanut butter cups in the aroma. Peanut it obvious in the flavor, but is balanced with the other flavors of a chocolate stout.
