3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Finally cracked the bottle I got in a trade from drowland. Canít be certain it is my first rum barrel aged beer, but it might be. Pours nearly black with lighter colored head than expected. Scent is booze and candy. Rum flavors blend well and donít lead to an overly sweet beer. Thick. Bottle - Trade from drowland

6/15/13. On tap at the release for this rating, but I have had it on tap and out of the bottle several times since... holding up well at this point! Deep black pour with a nice tan head. Big rum aroma with spice, dark fum, wood, a hint of booze, on top of subtle roast and light chocolate from the base brew. Nice smooth dark rum in the flavor as well, fruity, wood, some spice, coffee, roasted malts, milk chocolate, and more. Really well done, and a great offering from Green Room!

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Tap at Kickbacks, Jacksonville. It pours opaque darkest brown with a medium beige head. The nose is roasted malt, chocolate, earthy, toffee, sesame and light vanilla. The taste is mellow roast, earth, toast, wood, warming alcohol, chocolate, light rum and ash with a dry, warming finish. Medium-full body and moderate carbonation. Nice flavour profile. Pretty tasty stuff.

Yes that is a very high rating but to me this beer stands out and is the best beer they have made to date. The Appleton Rum barrels add a lot of character to this beer that i think was missing last year.
