Keg at the brewpub during RBWG 2013. Pours rich brown with a fine, beige cream head. Ashy roast in the nose, some wet burnt toast. Light sweet flavor, mellow roast, some milk chocolate, low bitterness. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Good finish, nice balance, not tok intense, some earth, cocoa. Nice low octane stout.

On tap at the brewpub. Chocolate, a little watery and sour finish. Off-flavours, fortunately not in any of the other beers I tried today.

On tap at the brewery. Dark beer with some cola shades at the edge of the glass. Beige ring for a head. Light roasted grain, puffed cereal and chocolate in the nose. Soft mouthfeel like I expect from an oatmeal stout. Flavors of milk chocolate, some lactic sense, roasted grain astringency and a bitter grassy finish. Nice beer.

On draft at Dahlia’s, poured dark balck color with aromas of ash, chocolate, oatmeal, and some roast. Flavors follow suit, with a light creamy aftertaste. Decent stout overall.

This brew hits ya early, smells like packaged hot chocolate, looks like cola, is light bodied for such a great profile. Overall it’s a little overdone with the chocolate flavor, but very drinkable!

7/14/12. On tap at the brewery. Black pour with a nice tan head. Light coffee and chocolate with a touch of sourness on the aroma. Bitter roasted malts at first followed by lots of lingering chocolate. Not bad!

Malty but clean finish. Very dark. Originally balanced for a stout. Very nice flavor.

On tap a kickbacks. Pours pitch black with thin tan head. Aroma is oatmeal that has been sitting out. Taste is mild sweetness but very bitter on the back end. Palate is thick and smooth. Not a bad effort, but not something I’ll be going back to.

On draft at Green Room. Pours a medium/dark stout brown with a tan head. Nose is cocoa, chocolate, light roast, and hints of spice. Flavor is similar- cocoa and chocolate up front, some earth and dark chocolate mid, and a bit of earth and cocoa in the finish. Nice mouthfeel. At 6.2% alcohol, this one is really nice.
