Draft… RBWG 2013… Clear, dark, mahogany pour with a small, creamy, off-white head. Fantastic retention. The bouquet provides dark cherries, but they are thin and watered down. No sweet potato component in the nose, and other than the dark cherries, the aroma is nearly featureless. Light-bodied with lively carbonation. The flavor is a touch tangy, but lacks fruitiness and is fairly bland overall. This doesn’t even approach a level of acidity that I would consider sour. No sweet potato component here either. Short, crisp, clean finish.

On draft at Green Room. Pours a brown with an off-white head. Nose is some vegetal qualities, some sweet potato, some brown sugar, some spice, and some funk. Flavor is a sweet potato beer with some funk and some spice. Medium in body and a strange blend.

Dark brown pour with tan head and lace. Aroma is perfume and brett. Brett, a sour malt, and a paper bitter finish. Thin and watery. Not my favorite beer.

Tap at Green Room. Sweet potato flavor didn’t mix well with the mild sourness. Would have down better in a sweeter dessert or spiced beer. Sweet potato flavor is very low. Wasn’t a big fan.

Tap at Green Room. Great name. Pours a low haze cola. Fizzing our foam. Nose is licorice, cola, butter, red wine. Taste is buttery, cola, spices/licorice. Palate is weak, seltzery. Not sure what this is, but not too bad.

Tap at Green Room. Light hazy metallic brown with a small fizzy white head. Nose is sweet potato (first time i have tasted this in a beer when it was claimed), brown sugar, nutmeg, allspice, very light brett. Flavor is similar, medium sweet and dry. Not really sour but not bad.

Growler thanks to drowland at RBWG! Pours a translucent brown with thin off-white head and little to no lacing. Aroma of spice, brett, caramel sweetness, and a touch of grassy hops. Taste follows, funky but not sour. Pretty decent.
