Oh yes, this is indeed a delicate little flower. But delicate is difficult to do well. You need lots of subtle hints and half-sensed nuances and elusive impressions. I just got fresh and mildly citric. Perfectly serviceable, but it just didn’t engage me. Cask (gravity dispense), Oakdale Arms, Haringey, February 2005.

UPDATED: APR 15, 2008 Feb, 2005 Oakdale Arms Beer Festival. Another delicate beer which was served with all the character removed. Clean, crisp and drinkable, but very dull. [2.6]
March 2008 The George, Bishops Stortford Butterscotch and honey aroma. Mild English hop bitterness in the swallow. An OK mild session beer, though too much diacatyl. [2.6]

Cask, Oakdale Arms BF: Mildly fruity bland bitter. Gold with no head. Slightly malty, otherwise thin and boring.

Cask conditioned at The Plough, Bodicote. A pale amber beer with white fluffy head. Floral, juicy, tangy beer, lightly flavoured, though somewhat perfumy. Light drinking, refreshing and dry but too aromatic for a session.
