| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Dec 3, 2006 Bottle. Pours clear light amber with a foamy white head. Aroma is grainy malt, with some grassy hops. Flavor is about the same, though slightly thin. This is a pretty respectable beer. Honestly I think this would be rated higher if it were by a brewer with more cachet. bubbleflubber (892), Collinsville, Virginia, USA
| 1.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 5/20 | Nov 27, 2006 I knew it... I knew it... I knew it... A-B repackaged blarb. Actually pours semi-decent, with a woody amber hue and a diminishing head, leaving medium webbed lace. The nose is of semi-hops, some sulfur, and corn.... duh. There tries to be a hop contingency within these thin-palate malts, but the corn just shows through like the swill it is. "One batch at a time" my butt.... Yeah, but a batch is 150 gallons at a time. Just goes to show that gobbling up microbreweries and repackaging your macro swine isn’t going to earn you any greater points... I challenge any big brewer to prove me wrong. (WAY overpriced, as the store had the gall to have this setting right beside of Chimay Bleue.) SledgeJr (2960), Omaha, Nebraska, USA
| 1.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 1/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 7/20 | Nov 26, 2006 In the bottle at the HyVee Oktoberfest beer tasting in Council Bluffs. Light clear amber in color with a poofy white head that recedes rapidly. Is this beer contaminated? It smells like butt! Huge sulfur aroma. Otherwise, boring and watery. Finishes with a very mild suggestion of green hops, but not so much. HighlanderOne (541), Somewherein, New Jersey, USA
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Nov 26, 2006 Poured from bottle. Aroma of rye, but faint. Big bubbles rise from the bottom and form a very coarse head. Not pretty. Tastes OK, rye/malt flavor. Hops not too much of a factor here. Reminds me of your run-of-the-mill N/A. Improved a bit at finish as bubbles subsided. Forgettable. I like Hoppy beers, but this does not live up to it’s label. JPDIPSO (4897), Wauwatosa, Wisconsin, USA

Dark golden color with a smallish off-white head. Lightly floral hops with a heavy malt and grain aroma, somewhat like a heavy euro strong or decent malt liquor. Sweet floral hops mix with sweet malt and touch of corn in the flavors. Fairly full in feel, yet some watery parts. A sweeter, heavier lager.

| 1.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 1/5 | 3/10 | 1/5 | 7/20 | Nov 21, 2006 Golden color. Again, minor hops, malt , sugar, citrus and a hint of caramel. Tastes the same but more water down. What a joke with these beers from AB. Yuck! The pale ale is better that this. Where are the Wild Hops??? DJC (238), USA
| 2.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 8/20 | Nov 18, 2006 Copper color, and a thin, barely-lacing head. Aroma was weak, but pleasant. Mild, hop flavor, with a grassy aftertaste. Refreshing, actually. Certainly one of the better A-B products I’ve had, and I’ll give them a little extra credit for making it organic.
