Nice amber color, small white head that faded quickly leaving nothing behind. The aroma was lightly malty but mostly grainy and maybe some corn in there as well as a light hop showing and maybe a faint citrus side but it’s very faint. The taste is nothing special with a a slight hint of malt some graininess and a bit of corn, but mostly it has a stong acidic side in the carbonation and a slight hop showing in the end.I guess over all it’s pretty weak and has little to offer in the way of taste, but the organic thing is a nice change.

Tasting at Riversbend. Matt claimed this would be a fun "try". See if he could get anyone to believe it to be a beer with any merit behind it. Pours golden. Has no smell, and no taste to boot. Ok, let me rephrase, there was taste, but it suddenly vanished when the beers was drank... Ok, let me clarify since I know you’re confused now. I started drinking this beer, and it had what could only be described as an attempt to put hops into a beer, but I think the guy in charge of throwing the hops into this one may have fallen asleep and there was still some hoppy water in the pot when it was made... Yes, it tasted like old watery hop... But not even enough to really claim there was any flavor here. Then the taste vanished. Where did it go? It was gone. I am afraid I was duped by this beer. They had me believing there were wild hops in this one. Instead, I got no hops, and especially nothing wild here. If you did a blind test with water and this beer, the water would have had more flavor. Sad, I know. Matt, I wasn’t fooled by your game here...

Bottle from JGD0608. Pours copper with a white head. Smells of grass, citrus and pepper. Tastes of faint citrus and malt with a weird tarte aftertaste. Mouthfeel is lacking and watery.

The aroma is not as light as I was expecting and it has pine hops and caramel malt. The appearance is amber gold with a small-medium head. The flavor is hoppy and malty but not super sweet. The palate is thin and the aftertaste is toasted malt. While AB has a few "drinkable" beers, this being one, it does not have many that are also better than average. This beer is one of those standouts.

Light amber color, high carbonation, slightly sweet carmel malt flavor, very lightly hopped with more aromatic hoppiness than bitterness. Perhaps slightly too on the sweet side. The store I purchased this in had just received this order today. I also did not know they were an A-B brewery, until I checked online. I am a big fan of local produce, wine, and beer, which there is a plethora of in N. California. I generally try to avoid purchasing from a large conglomerate such as A-B. That said, it is a quite easy drinking beer in my opinion. And, apparently they do use locally grown ingredients. Therefore I must rate it fairly based on taste (fairly decent) and really don’t hold it against them that they’re an A-B owned brewery since it uses local ingredients (hopefully sustainably grown).

Pours a pale amber color with a fairly thick rocky white head. Sweet malt and hop aroma. Clean and crisp, but also a little thin. Sweet malt flavor along with some hop bitterness. Refreshing, but not much going on here for $6.99 a six.

Green Valley Brewing Co., my hairy buttocks! Fortunately, I read my The LoSBD colleague frankenkitty’s review and was forewarned that it was yet another A-B brew in disguise. I was able to pick up a single bottle at the Wild Oats Market in Hinsdale, IL, or I wouldn’t be trying it yet.

There’s nothing particularly wild or hoppy about this (Premium?) lager. The aroma has light malts, a touch of corn syrup, and a tame grassy hopping. Nice carbonation, but even that won’t cut the sugary coating left on the tongue. Sweet malt, sugar, and a metallic bitterness make up the flavor.

Poured a nice straw amber color with a bubbly white head. The bottle I had was fairly oxidized, but there was some underlying toffee. It was just the tiniest bit cloying. Not a bad beer.
