Decent mouth feel, somewhat sweet, hint of hops, big malt taste. Sweet finish. Not a bad brew. Suprised it’s from AB. I would get this now & then. Seems in the same catagory as Honey Brown Lager. I’m guessing that some of the people rating this beer didn’t try it. sneagrams3 (1764), St. Louis, Missouri, USA

Filtered with an amber golden hue. Lively brew with a spiraling white head. Doughy malt nose. Mild citrus hop nose. Light to medium bodied and bigger than most in this category. Tingling bitter effervescence. Crisp with a mild caramel malt flaovr. Dry with a kiss of hops. RIP patrick767 (2066), fort wayne, Indiana, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Mar 4, 2007 bottle - Pours very light amber and clear with a thin head and a light hop aroma. It’s sweet and highly carbonated with a body that’s a little on the thin side and a mild finish. It’s not bad.

| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Oct 14, 2006 on tap at Andy’s Corner Bar. Aroma is slight hops, grains, some caramel malt. Taste is about the same. Balanced hop balance, but not assertive like the name would make you assume. Overall, not too bad, especially considering it’s made by AB. | 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Dec 3, 2006 Bottle. Pours clear light amber with a foamy white head. Aroma is grainy malt, with some grassy hops. Flavor is about the same, though slightly thin. This is a pretty respectable beer. Honestly I think this would be rated higher if it were by a brewer with more cachet. smcd (366), USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Mar 25, 2007 Sulfur on the nose, as one might expect of a light lager, with a pleasant, hoppy aroma behind it. Clear, light amber with a big, off-white head. Malty sweet with a hint of sulfur and a well-balanced hoppiness. Fast finish with some lingering sweetness and a slight bitter taste in the throat. The title of the beer is ’wild hop’ though i was surprised to discover that it didn’t taste very ’hoppy’. Still worth a try. fredjaz (108), Virginia Beach, Virginia, USA
