Not to familiar with this style, but guessing this is a good American interpretation. Good medium dark color, light head. Aroma has some fruity notes. Taste is strong and not too bitter. Good beer.

UPDATED: JUL 14, 2014 Bottle: Almost fully clear, golden-amber body with a thin, soapy white head on top, moderate sheets of lacing left on the glass. Aroma full of some medicinal Belgian yeast, clove, mint, Candi sugar, bubblegum, mild perfume, & lightly sweet, fruity esters. Taste is similar; sharp Belgian yeast flavors up front, clove & sweet esters just on the edge of banana, perhaps faint green apple as well. Clove, bubblegum, some earthy /floral bitterness in the back-end. Candi sugar adds an apparent sweetness, again there’s a mild medicinal tone overseeing everything. Phenol & light fusel alcohol becomes a bit too noticeable in the finish. A decent beer, but not really my speed. A little messy overall.

Pour out of 12 oz bottle, thanks Brandon! Dark orange-red pour with white head, aroma brought notes of red fruit, orange, hints of dark fruit with raisin into some biscuit, caramel, hints of spicy Belgian yeast with some esters as well. Taste is a mix of caramel, toffee, hints of dried fruits into a bit of raisin, touch of yeasty notes, finishing fairly sweet, slightly dry.

Poured from a bottle at Burkes. Dark red amber pour. Thin white head. Smell is cherries, earthy and hops. Huge fruit punch like taste. Massive flavor in here - wood chip, prune, cereal. Not bad at all

Pours a copper color with a very foamy off-white head. Has a nice aroma of sweet yeast. Flavor is way too sweet, however. Has a candied sugar sweetness comes off sickly. To add to that a high alcohol content, and I was feeling pretty sickly myself. Not one I would like to revisit.

Rated on 4-02-2014 (Bottle - Belmont Beverage Time Corners - Fort Wayne, IN) This beer has a medium ivory head that mostly diminishes, transparent amber body, fizzy, slow rising carbonation, and a fair amount of lacing. The aroma consist of malt, spicy, fruity, earthy, sweet like candy, floral, and aromatic hoppiness. The taste is sweet, malty, spicy, candied sugar, alcohol as the beer warms, and a semi-dry finish. The mouthfeel is smooth and this beer is medium bodied. Overall, this beer is very quaffable and has a very nice flavor to it. The various flavors join together very well and this is definitely a beer I want to get more of.

This bottled brew from a bottle shop poured a small sized head of foamy finely sized tan colored bubbles that were long lasting and left behind a typically carbonated hazy dark orange brown colored body and an excellent lacing. The nice aroma was hoppy floral malty and sweet. The sharp semi-thick mouth feel was very tingly at the start and at the finish with a strong mild vinous hop aftertaste. The strong flavor contained notes of rye mildly vinous sweet Irish red malt and hops. A wonderful best in class brew.
