COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This beer was developed as a collaboration with Mark Richman, the lucky winner of the Taste of the Nation "brewer for a day" silent auction item. This is one monster of an imperial IPA, brewed with a bit of honey and beet sugar.

12oz bottle. Poured a hazy amber color with an off white head. Aromas of pine, citrus, floral, and some honey. Tastes if citrus, caramel, honey, and some toastiness.

Very smooth IIPA with very little hint of high alcohol level. The honey hides bitterness until late in the taste. There is very little hop aroma detected- mostly sweet but pleasant.

From the bottle it has a golden amber color with a good size head. Nice aroma with fruit up front and a touch of malt. Taste is kind of backwards for and IPA. More malt up front then some fruit on the backend. Mild bitternes with a good finish.

12-oz. Thanks, T! Pours a bright orange, clear, with a thin loose light tan head. Big sticky sweet nose, lots of oily hops and sugars, almost tickles the nose holes. Thinnish body, prickly carb. Boozy twang, sweet, with pithy grapefruit rind hop oil presence. Lots of powerful notes here, not really working together. More competing for attention.

Bottle, came in 4pk. Aroma of...oh hell. It’s a double IPA. It’s like several dozen other imperial IPAs / double IPAs that are floating around out there. It’s pretty good. Maybe sweeter than most and a bit heavy. High abv, so watch out. I don’t think I’ll buy again so long as it’s more expensive than many similar or better beers.

12oz bottle via Mystery Box BIF. Pours a translucent, burnt orange with some lacing, thin white head. Nose is very old school DIPA, big pithy orange, grapefruit, gobs of fresh pine sap, soap. Flavor has the honey sweetness, a bit boozy actually, orange grapefruit, loads of pine, soap, some candy, a little artificial lemon. Full bodied, sticky finish. A little heat from the alcohol too.

Nice floral notes, strong ABV but the great hoppy taste covers it nicely. Hard to describe, but taste is different than typical DIPA’s (in a good, unique way). Good find.

Dark copper color with some cloudiness. Sweet aroma of both malt and honey, plus the hops. Aroma reminds me more a barley wine than a double IPA. A lot of sweetness in the taste, along with the malt and hops. Overall a fairly good beer, though definitely going for power over subtlety; still a reasonable level of complexity and some balance between the hops, malt and honey.

From a bottle. Smells a lot like pine and Orange. Very strong taste. Honey sweetness on the end with alcohol lingering.

Bottled. Poured cloudy, deeper amber with a creamy, sticky off-white head.. looked great! The aroma picked up juicy oranges and lighter-skinned fruits joined by spruce and peppery alcohol.. honey showed up as it warmed.. nice. The flavor found honey and biscuity malts at the core, with peppery notes and pine resin laced throughout.. picked up some beet sugars along with honey on the spicy finish. Heavier-bodied and filling on the palate.. hot at times, but tasty.
