Bottle poured into tulip glass. Murky, dark amber color with a foamy off-white head. Sweet malt and floral hop aroma. Toasted malt and caramel initial flavors with subtle flowery bitterness in the finish which gets more powerful as it lingers. Medium bodied, which is heavier than I expected. Sticky texture with average carbonation. Not bad, I just wasnít a big fan of the aftertaste this left.

Not a particularly distinctive brew. Pale ale with bitterness. Not much flavor. I get the inkling that this brewery will be producing hop forward beers, which Iím tired of, frankly. Everybody is hop forward, seemingly, my hope is that Greenbush try to make something special. Maybe this brewery has already, there are quite a lot of their beers at the store, after all.

574deadzone (982) - North Central, Indiana, USA - JUL 2, 2013
Bottle. 5.9% ABV. Pours a murky amber with a rocky khaki cap that leaves some foamy, clingy lace. Lots going on aromatically: some pine, earthiness, herbal tea, caramel, stone fruit, a touch of plum, some grain. Pretty sweet, with a fair bitter balance. Medium bodied, fair action, with a long bitter finish. Tasty brew, pretty well balanced, and just good all around.

Pretty plain... Bitter... Not much flavor wise... Ok but pretty basic............... ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Not as good as Iíd hoped. A little plain, and I could see someone using this as their go-to-pale, but just didnít impress me.

not bad but almost too malty for my idea of a pale ale---up front malt is nice and hops are present--- definitely a tasty bitter finish---just not what I expected but Iíll drink again

UPDATED: MAR 6, 2014 Bottle: Far too volatile on the pour, one inch of beer and five inches of head... Even with a slow pour! The foam lasts forever, too, & while it leaves good lacing, it takes 15 minutes before I can drink the damn thing. The liquid has a deep amber, cloudy copper body, darker than expected. Aroma of heavy hops; pine, zesty, floral, and lightly soapy. Faint juicy oranges and bready malt backbone. Taste is quite spicy, lots of white pepper, earthy, dirty, herbal hoppage. Brash bitterness and a heavy toasted and caramel malt sweetness that helps balance. Bitter finish, thicker than expected body with lively carbonation. Not as "drinkable" as Iíd like a pale ale to be. Not awful but more of a "miss" than a "hit", thatís for sure.

Didnít know what to expect since the bottle says ale. Pours murky brown with a foamy off white head. Smells like candied sugar a very floral. Taste is sweet, caramel, in thd beginning but then hops that taste like you ate a dandelion. Good mouth feel though. Big malt bill. Overall not to good.

Hophaze (170) - South Bend, Indiana, USA - JUN 10, 2013
Bottle. Pours a copperish color with medium head and lacing. Aroma of lemon and citrus and the hops linger after 1st drink (could be a turn off for some, but I like). Good beer ----Hophaze out
