Moderate smooth bittersweet flavor with a moderate bitterswwet finish of medium duration. This a good brew.

4 oz pour on tap at the Greenbush Takeover Event at Haymarket (Chicago, IL). Pours a rich well hazed, offering a firm offwhite well hazed head. Decent lacing, some firm orange and amber glow with rich haze. Aromas are some mellow dry earthy hops, gentle grass, florals, touches of mellow lemon. Dry and earthy, lemons. Initial is medium bodied, a touch lighter offering a firm lemony and citrusy hopping up front, mellow as it trails off with some crisp pale malts, just a dab of sticky biscuits and faint toffee. Middle and bacfgkend starts to bitter this mother back up, lemons and dry florals come on stronger, drying up the palate. Backend offers a touch of lemon, mellow bready sweetness, some touches odf dryness. Solid Pale, a touch sweet and vague as far as character. Ok.

Bottle: The aroma consists of caramel, toffee, citrus/lemon, lavender, and a hint of dust. It pours a mostly transparent amber with a creamy three finger orange-tinged off-white head that has excellent retention. Thereís is some thick webbing left on the sides of the glass. The flavor starts with a quick dose of caramel and light fruit. The finish has moderate lemon/orange, light-moderate grapefruit, and light lavender. Itís light-medium bodied with soft carbonation and mouthfeel.

12oz bottle. Thick orange-gold body, big off-white head. Mild peach, melon in the aroma. Has a hint of overcarbonation, maybe inching into infection...something Iíve experienced with this breweries bottles before. Almost has a dry brett finish. Not outright bad, just not that impressive either. Chewy, messy, undefined malts. I have little tolerance for breweries who sell infected beers, and the overall reflects this.

On tap at Greenbush Brewpub. Hazy amber with a thin off-white head. Aroma of caramel, resinous hops, citrus and some floral notes. Taste of heavy citrus, woodsy hopes, pine, caramel and resinous hops. High alpha acid with a long lasting bitterness.

Aroma is tropical fruit/lime, malts and a hint of sugar. The flavor is tropical fruit, definite hop resin notes, fruit, malts and a very dry/bitter finish.

bottle - This brew pours up a huge off-white head. Itís massively over-carbonated and smells like it. Thereís also a trace of indistinct malt and some off smelling funk. Not good. The flavor is bitter but not in a good way. Medium bodied. Bandaid character. The ample hops taste okay and surprisingly at this point itís not undrinkable, but it canít overcome distasteful signs of infection.
