The nicest looking of the 3 beers so far, this pours nicely black with a lasting head. Aroma is plenty malty with just a twinge of roastedness. Similar hop profile as the black ipa, this has a nice long finish. Still pretty hoppy for the style, lively on the palate. Tasty but not as smooth as Id like.

12oz Bottle. Thanks for sharing Sean! Fruity, aromatic rich dark malt nose. It really runs into a cherry-like umami and almond character. Flavors are good. This is sweet and there’s a slight edge of phenols and styrofoam, that either hint at infection or water issues. Otherwise, this has got some nice beefy porter qualities too it and has been ramped up decently. As much as it wants to say it walks the porter-stout line, I find it pretty safely in Porterland.

Tasted pour at the source... Pours a murky turbid dark brown caramel hued consistency, completely opaque, some suspended particles throughout, and topped with a thin wispy film of light beige was that originally dissipate completely... Semi-sweet nuttiness and light roast, slightly distant green hoppiness in the background... Flavors follow suit with a mildly sweet nuttyiness to pair with some faint hoppiness in the background. Mild to medium sweetness with a touch of bitterness on the backend. Slightly bigger than medium wth a prickly semi-lively carbonation. Solid porter despite its appearance.

Flavor of deeply roasted malts, chocolate, coffee, and some hops in the finish. Finishes bitter and dry. Has a real coffee presence but is a pretty solid porter.
