Draft at Rezervoir Lounge - pours a solid dark brown with off white head . Big sweet malty aroma . Taste like a big robust brown , which it is , didn't get any maple sap though . Not bad . Alcohol is well hidden . ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

UPDATED: APR 6, 2015 Bottle: Chestnut brown pour, more ruby to it once it’s in the glass. Foamy, khaki-colored head forms nicely on top. Sweet aroma with lots of caramel & Munch malts, a hint of Dutch chocolate, barley sugar, light nuts, only a small hint of maple floating around in there. Comes off slightly "artificial", I guess? Hard to describe. Flavor is more dry than expected. Tastes like shaved, toasted almonds, dried cacao dust, light tree bark, faint toffee, toast... Again, not much maple at all. Maybe a very small essence. Some nutty bitterness in the finish. Seems a bit salty, too? Wonder why? All-in-all, not a bad brew, but a very strange one. Wasn’t really what I expected at all.

Tap. Black pour. Beige head. Boozy nose. Light coffee and roasted malt. Mild buttered toast. Dark fruit. Taste follows the same template. A little bit of tobacco roughness. Finishes with a pleasant chalky bitterness. Ok.

growler from taproom. Brown with one finger head. Light bodied brown ale with some solid nuttiness and a hint of maple if I’m really looking for it. Interesting, but expected more from Greenbush.

On tap at Dan's. The pour is a reddy brown, pretty clear with a light small thin head and spotty lace. The aroma is very malty, almost Porter like with some decent caramel tones. The flavor is very light and missing out on the maple that's advertised. The flavor is equally disappointing. No maple. It's a little hot, but just missing a lot of key items. The mouth feel is thin, and the back end of he aftertaste is boozy. Not very great ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Nice brown with a hint of maple sweetness. Opaque brown. Nutty and sweet nose. Full bodied brown with the maple showing in finish. Cool name too.

Poured from draft at roots. Black with off white head. More like a stout than a strong ale. Plum choclate spices and rasisn. Really good beer

Rated on 6-01-2012 at Brew Haven Ticket Release Party at Trion Tavern-New Haven, IN. This draft beer has a small tan head, opaque dark brown body and very little lacing. The aroma is yeast, hops, earthy, maple, and malt. The flavor is yeast maple, semi-sweet, earthy, lightly bitter, hops, malt, and a dry finish. The mouthfeel is slightly bubbly and this beer is medium bodied. Overall, this is a sipping beer, but the flavor seemed to be a bit out of whack and left me not wanting more of this beer.

Draft at Jerry’s. Black with creamy, caramel head, light wet lacing / Nose of roast barley & coffee, chocolate, dark fruit, grass, bourbon barrel / Medium body, grassy acidic, smooth with moderate sweetness, low hopping / Flavors of semisweet chocolate, grass, caramel, oak, lemon / More on the order of a porter/stout than a brown ale.
