3.4 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
This draft brew from a restaurant poured a head of foamy light brown colored bubbles that were mostly diminishing and left behind a opaque black brown colored body and a fair lacing. The mild aroma was malty. The semi-thick mouth feel was strongly tingly at the start and mediumly tingly at the finish with a lingering dark malt aftertaste. The nice flavor contained notes of roasted malt mild licorice burnt malt brown malt dark malt and hops. Delicious and one I would certainly like to have again.

Bottle. Pours black with a beige head. Aromas of chocolate, roasted malts, vanilla, slight alcohol. Taste is similar: chocolate, vanilla, dark roasted cold brewed coffee, roasted malts. A medium sweetness, though I really like the balance between that and the bitterness. Medium+ bodied, a touch creamy, flavors linger in the finish. This really is a delicious beer.

This one is sweet and boozy to start with a strong bite at the finish. Notes of coffee, chocolate, and licorice. Pours black with a thin tan head from a bottle. Well done Russian imperial stout

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
bottle - Pours black with a small tan head. It smells of dark roast malt, chocolate, and some coffee. It tastes similar with a solid balance of sweet malt and bitterness from ample hops with a finishing roasted character. Full bodied. Really good.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Petty decent. Woody hit at first, sweet vanilla and cherry finish with oily mouth feel. Good execution of style

Poured from 12oz bottle. Looks like a great RIS big head and pitch black. Loses me a little with the aroma and palate. Still a good RSI.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
From a bottle into snifter. Black with medium sized light brown head. Nose cocoa, caramel, roasted barley, some spices, nutmeg, yeast. Full bodied, medium carbonation, sweet and dry, almost a body of a foreign stout. Black patent malt in the finish. As it warms the body seems to get lighter. Really unique interpretation of the style and enjoyable.
