On tap, pours a hazy orange. Not much in the way of aroma. Unlike most winter whites this is heavy on spice. Some citrus as well. Goes down easy, pretty impressed.

Cloudy orange pour with little white haze. Aroma has cold rich cream, cinnamon, gingerbread, boozy, licorice. Average carbonation, mouthfeel slightly foamy, effervescent finish. Flavor is slightly bitter and has most of the notes from the nose but with some hefty but bitter orange.

Whomever thought was a good idea to put cardamom and cloves in beer (the exception being a select few who invented ’holiday’ brews) someone needs to let everyone else know that it’s not a good idea. This isn’t ’white’ and it certainly doesn’t taste like Belgian Wit at all. All I’m getting is a medicinal, herbal unpleasantness. Like someone dropped a fucking Ricola cough drop in an amber ale. I normally dig Greenbush. But this shit is garbage.

Not that I care but this is way off style for a witbier; it’s just way too spice heavy. Actually, I reckon it’s too spice heavy for any style or beer in general. It is a gorgeous looking beer but it just reeks of cloves and orange peel. This smells like it’d make a pretty nice potpouri or an incense stick to burn while you smoke weed in your dorm room but this simply does not translate to a great tasting beer.

This is one of the best for style. Lots of Connamon and nutmeg. Well balanced though and is a nice Christmas beer to drink. Probably one max. Had out of a bottle at home.

Pours hazy amber with a small, whipped beige head.
Holiday spice....cardamom, nutmeg, grains, lightly baked dough taste.
Powdery spicing...almost overdone, but not bad as a holiday beer.

Bottle. Cardamom and clove dominates the aroma - hints of ginger and malt. Golden yellow with moderate head. Sweet cardamom, clove, lemon, biscuit malt, and straw flavor - fortunately the spice is much more subdued in the flavor. Decent body.

Rated on 9-15-2015. The appearance of this bottled beer is a huge very foamy off-white head that mostly diminished, hazy amber body, soft carbonation, and no lacing. The aroma is wheat, fruity, spicy, and malt. The flavor is sweet, wheat, fruity, spicy, and malt. This beer’s mouthfeel is moderate carbonation and it is a medium bodied beer. This beer is easy drinking but the flavor is somewhat boring.
