Tap: Completely muddled & opaque bruised orange body with a lasting, soapy, beige tinted cream that leaves behind nice lacing. Aroma can be dissected to find almost all of the items listed; pepper, coriander & clove-y spices, a mild sweet orange undertone... but fennel is the biggest item. The fennel stands out & gives almost a breakfast sausage vibe to the whole beer. Sounds weird, but it’s actually pretty neat. Taste is the same, with fennel being the strongest flavor component, driving a moderate sausage-y dialect. Plenty of other stuff to back it up, though; soft clove, coriander, spice, baked bread, & lofty wheat. Just a hint of orange in the finish, & an even more mild black pepper essence, finishing very crisp & dry. An interesting wit, a unique wit, & actually a pretty refreshing/good one.

Draft at soup spoon. Hazy orange with a light head. Heavy spice and cinnamon. Licking a candle with a potent, wheat finish.

On tap at mash tun festival. Pour is hazy orange with a large white head. Head fades to leave nice lacing. Aroma and flavor are both a bit off, but include notes of orange peel, lemon zest, coriander, and ginger. Spice is very present in the body and overpowers the rest of the beer.

On tap at fountainhead. Pours cloudy pale amber. Aroma is grainy and floral. Flavor is really peppery and it accentuates the booziness. Kind of a mess.

Bottle shared by Bunker. Poured hazy orange color with a large frothy white head that mostly lasted with excellent lacing. Moderate spice, yeast and citrus aroma. Medium body with a smooth texture and soft carbonation. Medium spice & citrus sweet flavor with a medium sweet finish of moderate duration. My expectations where met.

Flight draft on tap at City Provisions (Chicago, IL). Pours a rich hazy almost murky dulled golden amber hue. Some deeper colors in the middle and a cakey offwhite head atop stays as a firm layer, laces pretty well, sticks around. Aromas are gentle earthy hops and some lively citrus. Touches of spicy coriander and white pepper, mellow bready flaked wheat, doughy malts. Well integrated as more of a lemon and orange element start to assert beyond the spice. Fresh lemongrass. Initial is medium bodied, lower end, with a firm bite of citrus and touch of tartness up front. Some good lemon, orange, and some grapefruit elements. Middle shows some more dough, as some spice elements start to take over. White pepper, tart citrus, lemongrass, and gentle coriander and bready yeast kinda offer some life into the back. A more vibrant citrus rind and tartness kinda steal the show up front. Fairly refreshing, a touch cool into the back. Some lotion, herbal, and dry qualities on the nose as it warms, but still with a lively citrusy burst into the flavor and body. Finish is gentle spice, dry bready malts, typical coriander Wit push with a cool earthy quality, and gentle citrus tapering off. Pretty interesting. Almost a cool mint or herbal quality into the back at some point. Solid, compelling Wit. Gives a touch of a different element that makes it unique/interesting.

Pours a hazy orange/honey color with a medium lt tan head. Aroma has notable orange and a spicy note that reminds me a bit of ginger...touch of pepper. Flavor has some muddled spice...pepper comes through the most...orange is mostly lost...very spiced and muddled. Mouthfeel is light/medium and silky with a dry bitter/spiced finish.
