From notes. Finally getting around to adding beers from the Ypsi Summer Beerfest! Enjoyed on July 25. This is the BA version (not sure if it’s a separate entity). The pour is a dark dark brown with a nice cream colored head and no real lace. The aroma is very roasty and chocolatey. Booze is hidden, but the barrel is nicely present with a little oakiness and some bourbon heat. The flavor is pretty good as well. Roasted malts and chocolate. There is a little nuttiness going on, but it’s light. The mouth feel is light, but decently creamy. Not too carbonated, but still light. The aftertaste is lovely. Soft chocolate and roasted malt, and lightly dry
