Draft at Reno’s East, East Lansing. Deep opaque brown body, medium tight coffee & cream head. Nose of roasted coffee bean, ash, and hints of vanilla. Body with bitter, ashy coffee bean and vanilla bean. Vegetal and bitter with moderate sweetness.

Served in pint glass at brewery. Pours black with medium tan head. A ton of cream and coffee in the nose. Roasty malts and cofee with a nice body. Slight hoppy finish.

Burnt caramel aroma - or perhaps, more so like the malt that burnt onto a kettle - but in a good way. Dark, though brown tinted. Brown head. A harsh wet wood and unripe moss flavor. The lingering flavor is a bit too much. A good one to humble the taste buds.

Had on tap at Bad Apple. Served in a pint glass. A: Pours a dark black color with a tan head forming on the pour. It recedes slowly to a thin cap that leaves some sticky lace down the glass. S: Notes of chocolate and light espresso. The nose is pretty roasty well. Dried cocoa. T: The taste has an even more roasted malt presence. Dark chocolate with a light milk chocolate. Coffee grounds with some dark fruit notes, anise and light lactose sugar. M: Medium to heavy bodied, silky and smooth. Medium carbonation level with dry roast finish. O: Definitely one of the better milk stouts I’ve ever had. Super roasty and dry with complex flavors. Hopefully I’ll come across this again in the near future. Serving type: on-tap

Bottle from Brian - thanks! Black pour with a nice froth of tan foam. Aroma is dark, nutty roast with chocolate, bitter coffee grinds, and a bit of lactose. Taste is dominated by dry, dark coffee that is bitter with chocolate and roast, and some hop bitterness. Dry, clean mouthfeel. A bit over the top on the bitterness of the coffee but quite well done on the whole.

Draft at brewery. Pours black with a nice lingering head. The aroma is mostly malt, some faint coffee. The taste is is big roasted maltiness which dominates, some coffee, but would like more. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Draft. Poured clear dark brown color with medium brown creamy head that mostly lasted with good lacing. Medium to heavy roasted coffe, lactic chocolate malt aroma. Medium to full body with a smooth texture and flat carbonation. Medium to heavy dark coffee sweet flavor with a medium to heavy bittersweet finish of moderate to long duration. My expectations where exceeded with a very good stout.

Black thick pour with thick medium brown head. Iced coffee aroma, like leftover grounds from a French press. Amazing coffee flavor. Thick thick body. Sweet finish and a bit bitter. Ever so slight acidity from the coffee no doubt.
