A little thin. Rich sweet coffee lead. Finishes creamy. Looks great. Good but not amazing. A good sweety stout

12 oz bottle. Appearance is black color, medium, beige that dissipates quickly. Aroma is mostly roasted malts, coffee with some fruit. Taste is similar with roasted grains, dark malts, and coffee bitterness dominant. Some caramel and lactose sweetness also evident. Palate is medium-bodied, smooth texture, flat carbonation, and a sweet finish.

bottle. Black with one finger head. Lots of roast malt with substantial coffee. Medium mouthfeel -- not thin, but not too heavy either. Very smooth and creamy.

Bottle from mikem409. Thanks Mike! Black pour with a brownish/tan head. Spotty lace. Aroma has heavy roast, caramel, chocolate and some cherry. Taste has espresso, caramel, dark chocolate and some lactose. A bit rough. Medium to full bodied with a bit of alcohol. Finishes tangy bittersweet, leaning to the roasty bitter side. A very nice one! Would love to try the BA version(s). 15.2

Bottle: Dark body, almost fully black with a frothy tan head that takes its time receding to the surface. Aroma of creamy coffee beans, brown sugar, a mild lactose milky sweetness, & a balancing act of mild roasted ash in the periphery. Flavor brings more roast to the front. Lots of strong, roasted coffee & roasted malt with a big robustness. Still a solid undercurrent of sweet cream & very mild vanilla. Hints of black licorice, roasted malt, dark cocoa, & coffee bean leading into a creamy, woodsy finish. Flavorful. Really nice stuff.

On tap: The aroma consists of moderate-heavy chocolate, lighter roasted coffee, faint vanilla/cream, and a hint of burnt notes. Itís a dark brown with no transparency and a two finger creamy tan head that has pretty good retention before eventually fading to a thick film. There are some thick rings of lacing left on the sides of the glass. The flavor starts with moderate chocolate with the faintest hint of dark fruits. The finish has moderate-heavy roasted coffee, light vanilla/cream, and a touch of burnt notes. Itís medium-full bodied with soft carbonation and mouthfeel. Overall, maybe not amongst the elite coffee stouts Iíve had, but still damn good.

Bottle. Dark brown pour with a small creamy head that fades to a thin ring. Aroma is dominated by roasted coffee with some cream and cocoa. Taste is is mostly bitter coffee grounds. Some light lactose sweetness and cocoa powder too. Bitter, ashy finish. Medium body. Pretty solid if you like burnt bitter coffee, which I kinda do.
