From notes. 12 oz bottle shared during a sharing of the Advent Calendar (conclusion!) on March 30. The pour is dark, dark brown with a HUMONGOUS tan head. This is the most head Iíve seen on a stout in a long time. It just explodes up. There is a decent lace on it as well. The aroma is really light. There are big malt and coffee notes. The creaminess is a little hidden in the background, but itís not bad.The flavor is also quite thin, but follows the aroma. The coffee is somewhat dominant with a good roastiness and perhaps some light chocolate. The mouth feel is really thin and slick with an excessive amount of carbonation, The aftertaste is a little dry, coffee forward, but not bad.

Bottle... Pours murky and black with a large, fluffy, beige head that sticks around until my glass is empty. The olfactory highlights are caramel and a mocha-like blend of espresso and fudge. Medium-bodied with an oily mouthfeel and prickly carbonation. The flavor is a bittersweet jumble of caramel, milk chocolate, burnt espresso and bitter, ashy charcoal. Finishes sweet, and then almost painfully bitter. I like it, but Iíd like it more if the flavors melded and the bitterness mellowed. Maybe with time. Bottle courtesy of FlandersNed!

On tap. Pour is close to black with some red highlights and a small beige head. Aroma is very coffee-forward with notes of roast, cocoa and chocolate. Flavor is also heavy on the coffee but the milk cream and cocoa shine through more. No alcohol present.

Creamy. Very creamy. Draft at DryHop. Brownish pour with a ton of foamy head. Slight spice to it. But a very creamy milk stout. Good shit

Opaque dark brown beer, good size head, dull tan. Palate is softish and dry. Dry creamy malt with medium smoke. Mild roast and dark malt tang. Trace of dry hop. Dry lactose finish. Not bad.

Had on-tap at BoatWorks in St. Clair Shores, Michigan for $5.25 a pint. Appearance: One of the most gorgeous looking beers I have ever seen... seriously. Pitch black with two fingers of a tan head that lasts forever. The lacing goes sip-by-sip from the top to the bottom of the glass. Smell: A little more bitter smelling than Iím accustomed to from a Milk stout. Dark chocolate and coffee are the dominant aromas, for sure. I donít pull much of anything else out. I suppose roasted malts as well, and some slight sweetness, but it doesnít smell like Milk stouts Iíve had in the past (not at all a bad thing). Taste/feel: Like the smell, slightly bitter (especially on the front), with a smooth semi-sweetness on the finish. Not what I expected, but still very good. The ABV doesnít come through at all in any way, and this is just a very nice beer by Greenbush... one of their best. While I didnít think it was much of a Milk stout at first, the finish let me know why. Roasty bitterness and a good wallop of chocolate on the start, with a silky, semi-sweet finish. Never too bitter, never cloying, just a very well crafted Milk stout.

Draft, pours a dark brown. Roasted malt in the aroma. Taste is loaded with coffee, along with some milk chocolate. An excellent stout.

On tap at Greenbush. Pours black with slight ruby highlights on the edges with a thinner khaki-mocha head and some decent lacing. Coffee forward nose with plenty of roasted barley, toast, cocoa, and hints of alcohol. Pretty sweet, but also quite bitter. Full bodied, creamy, actively carbed, with a long coffee bitter finish. Pretty tasty, doesnít seem as strong as it is.
