Our signature copper wheat ale with a mind of itís own. Apparently, a lot of our beers have a personality disorder and Red Bud is no exception. A directionally-challenged ale, hopped just enough to make it cross paths with a pale ale. RedBud- one sure way to get lost.

tap. Coppery amber with small head. Mild malt body with a bit of a hop bite in the finish. Ok, but not much more than that.

From notes. 12 oz bottle shared during a sharing of the Advent Calendar (not finished) on March 15. The pour is a nice clear copper with a thin white film of head and some gorgeous lacing. The aroma is definitely malty; sweet, caramely, but lacking much of another character. The flavor is pretty decent, with the same characters of malty sweetness. Again there isnít much else going on here, but itís decent for the style. The mouth feel is slightly creamy, but thin, with a decent carbonation and a dry lingering aftertaste.

Draft. A cloudy copper ale with little to no aroma. Taste is a sweet IPA if you can imagine that combo! A bit of a bitter after taste but overall pretty smooth and a good brew. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

On tap at a restaurant. Flavor is malty and medium bodied. Malty slightly fruity and bitter finish. Not bad. Good for the style.

Bottle. Pours a copper orange with no real head or lacing to speak of. Aroma of malt, and wheat and taste of the same. Caramel notes as well. ----Hophaze out

Draft on 4-25-2013 @ 800 Degrees Three Fires - Fort Wayne, IN. The Appearance is a small white head that mostly diminished, no lacing, no visible carbonation, and a transparent body with an amber hue. The Aroma is malt and wheat. Ditto for the Taste along with some caramel. The Palate is smooth and this is a light-medium bodied beer. While quaffable, this beer lacks character, aroma and flavor that left me not ordering another one.

On tap @ Farmhouse. Hazy new penny copper colour. Sharp hops contrast with silky creamy malts, light vanilla note. Milder profile overall. Intriguing.

Pours cloudy amber with a very light wheaty aroma. The aroma is nearly nonexistent but not pungent. The color is a brilliant copper which lends itself to the belief that itís a refreshing sessional brew. Taste is a bit lacking but I do feel wheat is present as is some earth. Leaves an intriguing feeling of satisfaction on the palate which is quite nice. Overall a cut above average and best for a cool summer evening.

This draft brew from a restaurant poured a small sized head of finely sized tan colored bubbles that were mostly lasting and left behind a softly carbonated transparent red brown colored body. The mild aroma was floral and malty. The semi-flat mouth feel was weakly tingly at the start and at the finish. The flavor contained notes of floral hops and malt. A decent one that I would consider drinking again.

12oz bottle picked up at the brewpub. Pours a hazed, copper-gold colored body with a thin, frothy, beige head that dissipates slowly and leaves a moderate lacing. Aroma is floral fruits with a biscuity toast, lightly sweetened caramel, and wheat malt backing. Touches of earth and citric esters. Flavor is similar. Lightly sweetened caramels, biscuity toast, and floral hops with some grassy citrus notes, a light wheat, some earth, and a few esters. Finishes somewhat dry and lightly bitter with some earthy citrus notes and a light malt sweetness. Fairly lengthy aftertaste following a medium-thin body and a moderate carbonation. Overall, a decent example of a fairly boring style. Some light floral and citrus notes, a somewhat bitter earthy hopping, and a lightly sweetened toasty malt backing. Okay.
