From notes. 12 oz bottle shared during a sharing of the Advent Calendar (not finished) on March 15. The pour is a clear gold with some light copper notes and a nice white head with some gorgeous lacing. There is a great floral and solid citrusy hoppiness o the aroma. The flavor is a touch more bitter than you would imagine here. There is a strong hop presence, and really good citrusy notes that flow into a solid maltiness on the back end. The mouth feel is just a touch thin, but the carbonation is hard to find. Itís a solid IPA

FROTHINGSLOSH (4547) - GREENSBURG, Pennsylvania, USA - MAR 9, 2014
From the March 2014 3R6P tasting. +++ Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a dark caramel color with a large foamy orange-white head that left decent lacing. The aroma was pine, grapefruit, lemon and perfume. The flavor was bitter and sour grapefruit, lemon, a bit of pine and perfume. Long bitter grapefruit, lemon and perfume finish. Medium body. Ok.

Draft @ Three Fires. Sweet syrupy butterscotch aroma. Cloudy orange with a moderate off-white head. Sweet caramel malt, orange, and herbal hops flavor. Medium body, soft carbonation. I was a little worried at the heavy diacetyl indication in the aroma, but fortunately the flavor was ok. And it wasnít just me, all of my dining companions could smell it too.

tap. Golden with small head. Light bodied IPA with big flavorful hops. Iíve found Greenbush to be somewhat hit or miss, but this is definitely a hit. Well above average IPA.

On tap at Poppycocks in Traverse City. Pour is a clear amber good with a medium head and aromas of mango, passion fruit and honey. Flavor is pretty solid mix of tropical fruit with a hint of resin and a nice honey sweetness in the background.

Alextricity (509) - Michigan, USA - DEC 8, 2013
On-tap for something like $5.25 at Boat Works in St. Clair Shores, Michigan. Appearance: Golden. Didnít notice any haze on it. Finger of a creamy white head. Awesome lacing from top to bottom. Smell: Very fruity. Citrus, tropical fruits, and things of that nature. Somewhat sweet. Didnít pick up much pine or grass or anything along those lines. A pretty bright aroma on this. Taste/feel: Judging from the few reviews I saw on Ratebeer, I was just expecting more out of this. Starchicken has a solid bitterness to it behind that fruity start. The mouthfeel isnít that great. Thereís a medium feel and carbonation that sort of gave me the impression that this was definitely an IPA and not an Imperial IPA. Quite nice and easy drinking. Greenbush has impressed me more. This is still a pretty tasty beer, but itís not exactly an "Oh my God, I need to find this beer!" sort of brew. Itís just a quality, fruitier-than-pinier sort of IPA that wonít blow your mind. Still, this is one worth trying if you happen to see it in front of you.
