Tap, this is actually a mistake beer (Toeval is Dutch for accident), as it was suppose to be a new batch of the porter but some ingredients were left out... a nice mistake! The appearance is near opaque with a small fading rocky head. The aroma has notes of roast, toast, chocolate, tobacco, coffee, slight berry, herbal hops and some black charred malts. The taste has twangy dark fruits, roasted coffee and ashy malts with a slight sweetness. Well balanced and a tad smoky, mild bitterness. The mouth feel is smooth but a bit more carbonation is needed. Not too shabby, yep similar to the porter but still different too. Not as fruity or roasty, more charred.

tap at greenbush. toeval roasty stout. 7% murky and ruddy brown. minimal to no head retention. delicate and roasted chocolate and coffee nose. light lactose. nice and sweet. some caramel. thinner body. works tho. similar flavor with added bitterness. milk chocolate and light creamed coffee. dry. 737314
