2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Bottle. Pours a deep ruddy, cloudy orangish red. Thick white head that really lingers leave a nice filmy tracing. Taste is a pumpkin nutmeg spice with a sweet hop finish. Unique look and taste bit gets more aspiriny as you go.

Bottle from trade, aged 14 months. OK pumpkin beer, not too pumpkin and balanced spices. Drinkable, above average mouthfeel.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Perhaps my favorite pumpkin ale. Great balance of spice with a deep and strong pumpkin flavor. A bit cloudy, but well worth it. The lack of an obscene amount of ginger makes this a true ale, not liquid pie. Great job guys. You rocked this one!

Orangy pour with a creamy off-white this pumpkin beer surprises with a big Belgian type flavors of funk and sour, but also has subtle spice and pumpkin flavors that make this one of most complex and tasty of the fall offerings. Outstanding!

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
Bottle to half-pint glass (shared with the Mrs.). Looks solid; a transparent orange with foamy off-white head. Smells of pumpkin and related spices. Tastes like it smells with a slightly off-putting mouthfeel. Eh.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Hazed amber, nice froth, some lace. Pretty good array of spices with maybe nutmeg and clove showing off mostly, with even some kind of hop-like dankness maybe, Im not really flattered with the aroma though. Taste has some toast/caramel malts, spices and think there is some hoppiness in there. Seems to have spice on the finish as well as a good share of grapefruit/pine bitter. I like the bigger pumpkin ales this one is in the middle with a nice malt richness and some hops as well as a matching bitter. Maybe a bit rich in its pumpkin spice profile as it can get weird often with spiced beers. Finish is a bit robust if you like it that way. Pretty good overall.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle. Artificial cinnamon, caramel-pumpkin malt, ginger aroma. Hazy amber with a large ivory head. Vegetal caramel malt, cinnamon, clove, and herbal hops flavor. Medium body, moderate carbonation. The spice and hops are a little harsh, and at odds with each other.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
bottle. Deep amber with one finger head. As pumpkin beers go, this is pretty decent. Reasonable malt body with spice and light booze.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
12 ounce bottle into tulip glass, 2013 bottling. Pours moderately cloudy orange copper color with a 2 finger dense light khaki head with good retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass. Aromas of pumpkin, cinnamon, clove, nutmeg, gingerbread, brown sugar, caramel, pear, toast, and herbal earthiness. Ok aromas with solid complexity and balance of malt, pumpkin, and spice notes; with decent strength. Taste of pumpkin, sourdough bread, ginger, cinnamon, clove, nutmeg, brown sugar, caramel, toast, floral, and herbal earthiness. Light earthy/spicy bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of pumpkin, sourdough bread, ginger, cinnamon, nutmeg, clove, brown sugar, caramel, toast, and herbal earthiness on the finish for a while. Decent flavor balance and complexity of malt, pumpkin, and spice notes; with a solid malt/spice balance and minimal cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and body; with a fairly creamy and lightly chalky mouthfeel that is ok. Alcohol is well hidden with minimal warming present after the finish. Overall this is a decent pumpkin ale. Flavor profile is weird at first; but smooths out a bit after the first sip. A bit of flavor astringency as well, but I had no problem finishing the glass.
