3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Cask at County Hotel, Ashford. If there are no guest beers on this is the next best beer at this pub. It has some nice toffee apple type flavours and some nice caramel but there really isnít enough to keep you interested much past the 2nd pint

4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
On tap at Greencoat Boy, London. Full amber colour, thin, fading head. Aroma of wild hops, flowers and sweet toffees. Clean bitter palate with solid malt background. Not very sophisticated but ideal for a session beer. Not expensive as well.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Cask, the Cockney pub. Amber with a nice dense head. Primarily sweet-fruity with apples and berries. Finishes gently earthy-bitter. Pleasent.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Cask conditioned at the Robin Hood & Little John, Cherry Hinton, Cambridge (a Greene King pub). Copper coloured, minimal carbonation. Moderate caramel and malt vinegar aroma. Malty flavour, caramel, low bitterness. ABV is well hidden. OKish, but not really exciting. Disappointing held up to my (failing?) memory of the bottled/canned version. The Old Speckí is a better choice.

3.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Cask@Charlies. Amber color with small fine head. Nice round taste with a nice balance between the maltyness and the hoppyness.

2.6 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
A malty, but thin experience. Some bitterness end this pretty weak beer. Nothing special about this brew. Pretty ordinary.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Cask and good for it. A good stand by in times of doubt and drought. Fruity, thick and sweet when well kept. All over the place and in bottles and cans too.

cask @ lancaster beer festival, cask @ rat and ratchet huddersfield, cask @ lloyds bar no1, cask @ some random pub in farnham common and some other places! the bottled and canned version of this beer does it no justice. from the cask (provided itís kept correctly LLOYDS) is one of the primo beers. hence iíve drunk it in so many places. poured without the sparkle to leave it a little less creamy (not a true yorkshireman obviously!) it goes down a little too well and has left me unable to walk on a few occasions. once saw a guy projectile vomit this still across a bar, to the non amusement of the bar owner!
