Light tan color with ruby hints. Low carbonation. Aromas of caramel, some fruitiness, and a light whiff spicy hops. Fruity and hoppy flavor. Starts fruity with bubblegum, apricots, and caramel. Finishes dry and bitter. Overall, very balanced. Good bitter.

On cask. Deep orange body, thin white head. Aroma and taste of caramel, toast, biscuit, floral hops, orange zest and some butter. Nice one.

Backlog. From cask at The Granite City, Aberdeen Airport, 04.08.12. You know you’ve landet in a civilized country when you can get a perfect pint of real ale at the airport :-) Dark golden in colour, off-white persistent head. Served slightly too cold. Aroma of dark caramel and toffee, with hints of hops and grains. Taste of caramel and malt, with superbly balanced bitterness. Long and delighful aftertaste of hops and malt that keeps evolving in the mounth. Perfect, just perfect.

From draught, Three Tuns, London. A bit disappointing to be an ESB, dull aroma.

Cask from the Kinder Lodge, Hayfield, Derbyshire. Pours mid-amber. Sweet, buttery (diacetyl?) beer with some fruits, caramel and lots of sugary aroma and taste. I can see why it’s stood the test of time but for me it is drinkable but nothing more than mediocre.

Draft - medium amber with 1/2" creamy white head. Small hoppy aroma. Ok in mouth and on tongue. Smooth tasting with good bitter finish. Enjoyed.

Rich malty aroma of bread, caramel, toffee, excellent example of British malts. Pours a slightly hazy amber color with thick creamy yellowish white head that lasts. Bready malty flavor with light caramel and lots of earthy, woody, hop character. Medium bodied, with medium co2, soft and smooth, lingering earthy woody finish. Very enjoyable English bitter. Very well balanced. I'm not a huge fan of Fuggles. Enjoy Goldings better. I could drink a few of these. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
