"Abbot Ale is the culmination of knowledge and skills that have developed over centuries of experience. Brewed longer to a unique recipe using pale, amber and crystal malts, making it a full flavoured, smooth and mature beer. This irresistible ale has masses of fruit characters, a malty richness and superb hop balance."

In short: metalic british ale.
Pours clear copper with little off white head. Short head retention, poor lacing. Roasty, malty, raisins, plums, and some off nose. Medium body, soft carbonation, oily texture. Taste is quite malty, roasty, some herbal, metalic. Dissapointing.

Bottle 500 ml. Bitter malty ale, very frothy head, caramel aroma, more drinkable than most others of its kind.

Bottle. Smells stale. Tastes muddy. Unhealthy over reliance on ruby fruit maltiness .Boozy taste is a real turn off. No imagination and no class. Booo.

From Carrefour. In Ikea’s pint glass. Watching Sons of Anarchy 1x09. Drinkable. The taste is a bit rancid but not too much.

50cl bottle@home in pint glass@approx 7 degrees C (too cold) Pours clear amber with medium off-white head with low retention. Aroma: Caramel, malty aroma with just a tuch of hop. Earthy, caramel malt dominated taste with a very faint, not unpleasant, metallic twang with spizy and slight hop notes. Short, moderatly bitter aftertaste. Medium carbonation and low-medium body. Average English bitter. Well balanced and not bad, but nothing exceptional either

Lata 500ml. Me encanta esta cerveza, poco más que decir. Otro ale británico de calidad. Gran aroma y mejor sabor.

500cl bottle. Pours clear, amber. Not much off-white head. dissipates quickly. Aroma is fruity, grainy, and slightly musty. Medium body. Mouthfeel is round. Sweet in the middle, goes toward bitter on the finish. Not very complex.

Amber with minimal head. More malt than hops on the aroma. Starts off sweet and malty, then hoppy, and finishes with a nice grain flavor.

Amber, totally clear. Large off-white head that quickly dissipates, leaving almost no lacing behind. Aroma: caramel, earthy and herbal hop notes, a tiny bit of spices. Taste: medium dry, similar to aroma; caramel base and earthy, herbal, spicy hop flavours, plus a tiny hint of iron (not in the aroma though). Medium carbonation, low-medium body, low and short bitterness. This beer is insanely drinkable. A highly recommendable bitter.
