A reddy brown coloured beer with a whitish head. A fruity aroma with some toffee notes, but deliberate and not diacetyl. Jammy in the mouth with good alcohol notes. Nice and fruity and malty. Really surprisingly good. Shows that GK can brew really good beer if they try.

UPDATED: MAY 16, 2014 Nice fruit aroma. Caramel taste with good strength/ kick. Can see why it would be favoured in Winter. Really enjoyed and will drink again

Cask Pint at Edward Rayne (JDW), Raynes Park, London in June 2013 - Very Fruity; dark fruits, sweet orange citrus. Malty; toasty malts, toffee. Full-bodied. Sweet fruity malty throughout. Enjoyed it. Decent.

Cask@the avion, aldridge. Dark copper beer with tight medium head and decent lacing. Aroma of malts and caramel. Taste is sweet malts, toffee, caramel and some dark fruits. A little spice is thrown in too. Light on the body. Decent enough, but would expect more from a ESA.

Cask @ The Angel JDW. Woah, Greene King whale watch!! The pour’s deep amber with a tiny head. The nose is spiced fruit cake, ginger powder, some of that distinct GK yeastiness. The taste is plum, brown bread. Acidic red apple tang. General mineral. More yeast. Leather. Dry finish. Medium body, fine carbonation. Overall, actually not terrible. One of GK’s better ones...
