Tasted this in Tennents Bar, Glasgow in October 2008. Cask, handpump dispense. Clear pale copper in colour with a thin white head. Dry dusty hop flowers in the short aroma. Thin mouthfeel and good lacing. Pale malt base gives a weak digestive base with tart redcurrant fruit which is quite short. Dry hop resins give a tart metallic tang in the long aftertaste. Astringent hop resins present in the dusty dry finish. An ok autumnal ale but better examples are out there.

Clear copper coloured body. Low, nitro, creamy head leaving lacework on the glass as it goes down. Aroma of juicy malts. Firm malt-fruity taste with a decent bitter support. Pleasant. Half pint, hand pulled cask at Rutland Arms, Sheffield 2 Oct 10.

Cask på Rutland Arms, Sheffield , Sheffield 2 Okt 10. Gyldenbrun. OK kremskum som legger seg lagvis nedover i glasset. Pent å se på. Søt & god karamellaroma. Smaken karamell med litt plommer. Syrlig bitter ettersmak.

Hand pulled at Wetherspoons (under the central library), Birmingham. Dark gold, nice head. Pretty pleasant bitter. Marginal peach and barley sugar in the mouth - gentle sweetness. Boring aftertaste - long, watery grave. Nice stench.

10th November 2008. Clear deep gold beer. Low carbonation. Competant but dull beer. Light malt, very mild hops. Just a trace of banana. One of those all too typical annoying English palates that manages to be dry and watery at the same time!

Cask, Greenwich, England. Dark amber ale, low carbonation, quite lean bodied. Moderate bitterness, bit of crystal malt sweetness and a bready finish. Not great.

Cask. An amber beer with a lazing off-white head. The aroma has notes of butter and fruit. The flavor is very sweet with strong notes of butter and fruit, leading to a dry finish.

Cask at JDW, Heathrow, Term 4. Slight amber with no head. Sour nose. Sour taste and quite watery texture. Didn’t finish it. I wonder if I got a bad batch reading the other ratings...
