Cask: Special - Wetherspoon Festival November 2009
This golden ale has been brewed especially for this JDW beer festival. It is rich in flavour, with a malty character, packed full of fruit flavours, followed by a refreshing zest and an underlying spiciness. Hops used: Cascade, Challenger, First Gold, Fuggles

cask at spoons wimbledon. Dark amber colour, thin off white head, no lace. This is somewhat odd. Tastes like bitter burnt sugar with sweetners and ash. Unbalanced and watery. Greene king have proven themselves again...

Cask, Lord Keeper of the Great Seal, Oadby. Amber with a dense white foam. Aromas are caramel with light spices and pear. Flavours are malty with sweet fruit and spices towards the finish. OK.

Cask at the Hope Tap (JDW), Reading. Amber with a thin white head; light fruity aroma; thin with a sweet and fruity flavour, live weak orange squash; slightly gingery prickle to finish. Typical GK.

Cask - West Gate Inn (JDW), Canterbury. Pale amber, almost golden with a fine white head. There some sweet caramel on the nose with some fruitiness. Boiled sweets, pasteurised malt flavours with some grassiness in the finish. Light to medium body, oily mouthfeel, low carbonation. I didn’t get much out of this. GK through and through.

Cask conditioned at a Wetherspoons. Amber to gold with white head. Sweetish malty beer with a big, fruity, plummy character. Some raisin in the flavour too. Pretty reasonable in fact.
