Cask conditioned at a Wetherspoons. Amber to gold with white head. Sweetish malty beer with a big, fruity, plummy character. Some raisin in the flavour too. Pretty reasonable in fact.

Cask @ JDW Southport. A clean, crisp beer in the ’Golden’ style. I liked the aftertaste, which I’m not sure how to describe. I got hops and some pleasant yeastiness in the mouth. I wasn’t impressed with this beer at the start but it grew on me. Had it not been compeing with some excellent competition @ JDW’s beer festival I may have rated it more highly.

Cask - West Gate Inn (JDW), Canterbury. Pale amber, almost golden with a fine white head. There some sweet caramel on the nose with some fruitiness. Boiled sweets, pasteurised malt flavours with some grassiness in the finish. Light to medium body, oily mouthfeel, low carbonation. I didn’t get much out of this. GK through and through.

Cask at JDW, Heathrow, Term 4. Golden amber body with slight head. Eggy nose. Eggy and malty flavours. Not very good. Just too watery and uninspired.
