Bottle. A clear amber bitter with a small, off-white head that endures a fair while before disappearing. This brew’s predominant character is caramel with the occasional fruity and yeasty notes coming through in the flavour and a nutty, barely bitter finish to round it off.

(bottle) Clear, amber colour with a medium-sized, light-beige foamy head. Light-sweet and discreet toasty malty aroma with liquorice, toffee and an aromatic lemon-fruity and piney hoppy blend. Light-bitter flavour, rather slim bodied with a moderate, slightly crispy carbonation. Slim toast-malty and fruity taste, slightly nutty with liquorice; moderately dry and slightly bitter finish with fruity hops A bit slim but still pretty aromatic brew (24.05.08).

Bottle 500ml. Has a kind of musty aroma. Pours a reddish amber with a bit of froth for a head. Background taste of cod liver oil: foreground taste of ... well, not a lot really. Lable describes it as full bodied - ’er, I think not! Very thin on the palate. Overall, a limp excuse of a brew.

Dark red, the colour of a pissheads blood. Head went in seconds. Citrus hops evident, nice enough but not overly beating my bishop about it. My appreciation for this faded, kind of like pro wrestling as a child.

What a beauty! Quite sweet/toffe/malty, but enough bitter and hops there. This is a real melt in the mouth taste. Great quality picture of the bottle adjacent too!
