2.3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20 Beer3000 (3713) - Kristiansand, - MAY 1, 2006750ml bottle. Light, golden colour. Aroma is caramel with a gentle touch of hops. Not much flavours, quite sweet with a hint of hop. Very smooth but ending up as another boring industrial beer.

Sept 2006 from BA: This beer has been produced purely to have with food, and it works!
A clear, tall 750ml stylish bottle, allows you to see a very pale, almost light blonde liquid within.
It poured well, but the head, which was off white and thin, soon disappeared.
The smell was of peaches and melons, due to only Tettnang Hops being used.
The taste was crisp and clean. The beer went great with the Mustard Thatched cottage Pie my daughter made. The label recommended Spicey food, Seafood and Poultry.
This is not your normal British beer, but I shall be trying it again, I suggest if you see it, do the same, give it a go.
2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20 mike_77 (1957) - NETHERLANDS - JAN 29, 2012
Very pale, golden colour. Light hoppy aroma. Very thin and watery texture. Light hoppy flavour. Big hit of citrus. Good balance of flavour, slightly bitter, slightly sweet. A bit weak but a great thirst quencher.
2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 5/20 ralphdot (881) - Billingham, Durham, ENGLAND - JAN 8, 2012
5.0% pale gold colour with a very thin head, a lager type aroma, not much taste of hops, rather expensive for a poor beer.

Looks for all money like a golden lager with large, obvious carbonation and a white head that softly sinks into the pint. The smell is enticing (as it’s my first today and it is a warm spring day), golden malt and a waft of flowery hops. A soft flush of bubbles at first, then golden malt biscuits and tangy mandarin citrus. Bitterness is present, but not knock your socks off strong and leaves a lingering, tingling orange lobe flavour. Not the most massively flavourful pint, but one I’d happily go for seconds on a hot day at the pub. There’s an endorsement if ever there was one.

[750ml bottle, Waitrose, Edinburgh] Pours like a pint of flat lager - not exactly appetizing in prospect. Very thin head, some rising carbonation – clear gold colour. Nose of slightly chemical malt, some bready hop. Tastewise though, it’s a pretty refreshing option if you are sick of bottled lager - the Tettnang hops give it a Germanic flavour (although they are from Oregon). Personally however, if I wanted something from that category I’d rather stick to something it’s clearly trying to emulate. In truth, Greene King Hop isn’t that spectacular - it’s nice enough, solid, and I can see how it might appeal to lager drinkers, so if that was Greene King’s aim then I suppose they have to be satisfied. The customers might not be, however [11052009]

Bottle shared at tasting. Pours clear golden with small white head. Very light aroma with a little hop. Flavor is uninteresting with very little bitterness. (Rated 2011/05/06)

UPDATED: MAY 14, 2011 500ml bottle (S. Brevinga Alus Salons, Riga)
6 Anna gets diacetyl, but I don’t. I get a touch of sulfur. It’s kinda Innis and Gunny. Yeah, OK, that means I get diacetyl.
2 Mid orange, and a small head. Worth 3, but only getting 2 as it came in a clear glass bottle.
6- Sweet smooth malty taste. Simple. Some charredness to the roast.
4- Simple pleasantly bitter, some roastiness too. Hops last for a long time, but heads toward paperiness later.
12+ Damn, this is so easy to drink and not lacking in flavour. It also covers 5% well. Being Greede Kerching, I would happily have trashed this, but they actually put something drinkable together for a change. Thank you USA for sending GK some decent hops!

Minimal head which soon dissappears, nothing overwhelming as far as taste and aroma is concerned but still easily drinkable.
