On cask. Dark copper colour. Small creamy head. Weak malty aroma. Really little hops. Thin and watery flavour. Almost no hops! Thin body. Nothing I’ll chase for again.

I had this at the King’s Arm pub in Greenwich England. I was somewhat disappointed with this IPA. Of course, I’m used to American IPA’s and this one just didn’t have the hops I was expecting. The mouthfeel and flavor were both very light. What flavor there was was a bit of fruit.

Cask at Ryries Bar, Edinburgh. Pours amber with a decent head and no bubbles. The nose has toffee and malt - can’t detect much in the way of hops. The taste has toffee and malt. The palate is medium in structure and texture with an overhanging malt finish that just doesn’t refresh at all. Overall, this is too malty for IPA and where are the hops?

Cask @ The Crown Rivers, Heathrow Airport, London

Pours brownish orange, murky with a foamy head. Aroma is quite mild with notes of fruits. Taste is soft and has hints of banana and malts. Smooth, slightly bitter finish. Not very balanced and doesn’t really taste like an IPA.

Cask at The Joker, Ilford, England.
Clear amber colour with small creamy off-white head. Very weak malty aroma. Flavour is malt, caramel sweetness and some mild hoppiness. Light in every aspect.

Bevuta a Londra in un pub con birracce, mi ricordava qualcosa: in effetti l’avevo già assaggiata a Tallinn, in versione export e non in cask. Non ha niente di una IPA, corpo acquoso, zero amaro, zero aroma, niente di niente

Cask at The Shakespeares Head, London. Golden beer, small head. This was a disappointment. It was nothing like I want an IPA, no freish bitterness, and very thin body.

Draught at the Pumphouse in Liverpool. Cask, left no head and beer was a dark yellow oar near amber. aromas we’re a faint, but musty. Taste was a laughter version of a traditional British bitter. Low ABV, and a light. Overall, an OK bitter

Brown, seemingly filtered ale served without head. Very smooth drink, but watery. Woody, mouldy, some fruit. Just slightly bitter in the mouth. Might be a ’real ale’ but severely lacks flavour. IPA? Not really.

On tap, pours clear bronze. Aroma and flavour of bitter hops and English malts with slightly stale woody notes. Not too good.
