This has low marks, not sure why. I enjoyed the toffee, caramel and roasted flavors. I thought it was smooth and easy to drink if a bit watery.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
hand-pulled pint at The George Inn in Southwark area of London.
Aroma: basement malts; some apple-like spice. Appearance: medium-copper with creamy off-white head. Taste: musty malts, some sweet apple flavors. MAYBE a hint of fuggle hops. Palate: excellent full-bodied mouth-feel, crisp and dry. Creamy.
Not going to do much for those used to American IPA’s punchy hoppiness, but it has character all its own.

1.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 4/20
Heron havant. Amber small white head. Somewhat malty aroma. Tastes like a cheap lager with a bit more malt.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
Had this several times, first on tap at The Golden Pheasant in Burford. The hops are more prevalent but certainly not strong. Clean and rinkable, clear amber with a nice head.

2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
The Lansdowne Leicester. Amber colour. Aroma is malty. Tate is malty and a little bit, well, crap. It's pretty rubbish but just about drinkable.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Hand-pulled pint into an IPA badged UK pint sleeve on 28 Sep 2013 in the lovely Castle Hotel on the A41 at Bletchley (Shropshire).
I was at the GBBF 2004 (Olympia) the day this got the ’Silver Award’ and I was a shocked as most CAMRA members were at the time. I’ve drank it plenty of times over the years in cask form but never rated it for some reason.
Anyway: it’s OK and sometimes it’s really good. Amber, white head and hoppy enough for me. Still loads of bars selling this beer, so it must appeal to a fairly large audience otherwise Greene King would have pulled it by now.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Gold/amber colour with a decent white head. Aroma of hops, caramel malt. Sweet with a light bitter finish. Oily texture, light carbonation. Reasonable beer.

2.3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
On cask at Heathrow. Half pint, aka Britain's greatest contribution to world's culture. Pours a light brown apple juice colour. Good amount of frothy white head. Little to no aroma. Taste is like apple juice with some carb and banana. Ech! Not very good. And not hoppy at all.

2.4 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
Aroma of very soft malts, and an okay deep copper body with minimal head. Flacour is soft maltiness with a medium finish. It’s an average, average ale.

2.7 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
On tap in Heathrow.
Not really an IPA. Less hoppy than expected.
Copper color. Almost no foam.
Refreshing but a little bit boring.

Not really an IPA, but I enjoyed it none the less. However seemed fairly creamy.
