Cask @ George, Great Portland St Insipid, boring bitter with a soapy aftertaste.

Quite bland. Not much head, watery bitter notes. Disappointing! The aroma is probably the best thing about the beer but the taste disappoints.

On cask. Amer body, no head. Aroma and taste of toast, floral hops, orange zest, grains and butter. Light bodied and flat. OK, but kinda weak.

Cask at The Fountain, Leek. A clear deep amber colour with a medium white head. Aroma of sweaty malts, caramel, some yeast and subtle earthy hops. Taste of caramel, slight mineral and subtle earthy, floral hops. Light bodied and a smooth texture. A short, malty finish. It’s not bad for an afternoon pint when there’s nothing else to rate on. Overall though it’s bland, watery and subtly hopped.

Mini Cask from B&M, Team Valley, Gateshead. An amber ale with tea like floral flavours, vanilla notes and a hoppy, burnt toffee and fruity finish. The Mini-Cask version is definitely the best.

Draught pint at The Phoenix, London on 27-Sep-2015. Copper colour with a thin white head. Smooth and drinkable but without much going for it. Unspectacular in its aroma or flavour.

Caña Cask Ale. aeropuerto stansted. Londres. 08..11..2015. (r336). Color ámbar miel algo tostado con muy poca espuma blanca. Aromas y sabores ligeramente ácidos, posible fin de barril, con toques suaves de herbaceos el final. Cuerpo ligero poco o nada de gas. Normal.

on tap at middlesex arms london. cask ale copper color. crystal clear. low stable and creamy foam. temperature perfect. aroma herbal and viney. palate nice smooth and low carbonation. taste moderate. malts almost non present. bitterness moderate. pretty neutral with aftertaste of cork and wine barrel. pretty weird brew. although i appreciate the palate of this brew. a low end IPA.

Cask. You know what you will get wth Greene King. Something unspectacular. Given the hop revolution, IPAs have surged from brewers small and large. This has no scent of note, sacrificed on the altar of corporate balance. It has a good look. Rich golden brown - amber highlights. But that cannot conceal its bland taste for real ale drinkers who have cask and craft offering that push all the IPA buttons. A sip and you know why Castle Rock and Thorn bridge and many more prosper. One can only hope there’s a re-think.

The color is clear and ambery. The smell is light sweet and hoppy. The taste is extremely flat and a little tasteless. Otherwise not too bad taste with a solid hoppy bitterness and sweetness. Probably bad setting on the tap :-/
